As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for your region when technical advice is needed, and will use your subject matter expertise and engage with diverse teams to:
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
- Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, increase efficiency and sustainability.
- Interface with internal data center operations team, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits within Amazon's data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation.
- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical equipment/design related to data centers
- EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience (software and/or hardware) and liquid Cooling experience.
Preferred Qualifications

You will operate with high autonomy owning engineering reviews, bar-raising initiatives, and root cause analyses for security infrastructure products. Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. You will serve as the technical security expert for our partner platform teams, so other responsibilities will ebb and flow out of daily priority including threat modeling, standards writing, architecture consultations, and designing proactive security systems. Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience

o Assist Sales Manager with scope of works and site activities to carry out the works.

6. Legal, Health and Safety
o Take all reasonable care for own personal health and safety, as well as for that of everyone who may be affected by your action in your workplace.

Serving as a field service engineer with expertise in Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry, you will have a vital role in assisting our customers. + Ensure that all documentation related to in-house and on-site support activity is completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis. This includes maintenance of electronic files, PM reports and Service Reports.
+ Interpret customers' needs and take ownership for problem resolution.
+ Partner with global specialist teams, use digital tools to provide remote resolution and improve the customer experience
+ Lead partner concerns to quickly resolve customer issues, maintain customer happiness and improve processes
+ Be a strong and efficient communicator with customers, our support teams and commercial teams
+ Travel throughout a designated service region at short notice to support Thermo Fisher's products
+ Accurately maintain parts inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data
+ Ensure that critical metrics are met and achieve Customer Satisfaction objectives
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree with science or engineering major, or equivalent experience plus strong technical/scientific competence.
+ Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant instrument experience in field service engineering, experience working with Chromatography and/or Mass Spectrometry is desirable
+ Candidate must possess excellent communication skills to represent the company in a professional manner.
+ Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as analytical and planning skills.
+ Ability to work independently, manage time/priorities, and maintain composure under high levels of demand is vital

**Job Description**
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers while driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Installing and maintaining electronic equipment in Imaging modalities.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Install equipment in a high quality, professional manner with strong attention to detail in accordance with the company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
+ Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
+ Make corrective repair calls in a timely manner, aligned with customer contract requirements and repair the equipment in accordance with company standards and directives and customer requirements.
+ Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions (FMI's).
+ Advise management when response time objectives cannot be met i.e. If there are two site visits in relation to the same problem, inform Senior Field Engineer (SFE).
+ The Field Service Engineer retains ownership of the problem until it is resolved.
+ The Field Service Engineer must keep the customer, SFE, and Service Delivery Manager (SDM) informed on progress.
+ Keep management and commercial account managers fully aware of all developments in the installed base.
+ Keep customers fully satisfied by keeping them informed of activities when on site and/or working on their behalf whilst on site.
+ Report regularly to management in accordance with reporting guidelines/procedures.
+ Complete other assignments and projects as directed.
+ Follow the alert procedure for system down.
+ Attend technical and general skills development training courses as directed and keep abreast of developments/technical product information.
+ Work within the defined responsibilities as documented in GE Healthcare Spirit and Letter Commitment Form to ensure compliance.
+ Accurately complete and lodge all service documentation in a timely manner within company guidelines.
+ Ensure all company property (tools, test equipment, motor vehicle) is kept in optimum condition and test tools calibrated according to the schedule requirements.
+ Ensure that parts usage/ordering is optimized from both the companies and the customer's perspective.
**Quality Specific Goals**
+ Be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
+ Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
+ Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
+ Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
+ Ensure timely job dispatch closure and send customer reports as required by company guidelines.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
+ Mechanical/Electronic/ Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technician or equivalent electrical trade
+ Relevant licenses as required by Federal or State Legislation (eg: Radiation License, Electrical Licenses) and Work Cards (eg: White Card)
+ The role will have a strong focus on medical IT systems. Skills in TCP/IP, WIFI and medical networks is preferred.
**Healthcare Sector Australia - Vaccine for Preventable Diseases**
+ Depending on location, some States have mandated or are intending to mandate that contractors who enter healthcare sites must be able to provide evidence of vaccination for vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs) prior to working at their premises.
+ GE Healthcare does have an EHS Medical Services Program. We have an immunisation and vaccination program covering any GE Healthcare employee who is required to enter a site and conduct work where there is the likelihood of potential exposure or acquisition through respiratory means to VPDs.
