As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for your region when technical advice is needed, and will use your subject matter expertise and engage with diverse teams to:
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
- Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, increase efficiency and sustainability.
- Interface with internal data center operations team, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits within Amazon's data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation.
- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical equipment/design related to data centers
- EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience (software and/or hardware) and liquid Cooling experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using a variety of web based and other software tools for calculation and data processing
- Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
- Experience as resident engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant or owner's engineer
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

# Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.
Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day.
Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2.

# Job Summary:
Bechtel is now accepting applications from Electrical Engineering Undergraduates to join our 2025 - 2026 Summer Intern Program located at our Energy project Pluto Train 2, in Karratha WA. Bechtel's internship program was created to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience. Many new university graduate hires began their careers at Bechtel as a student intern.
During this time, you'll see first-hand how our business works and take on tasks related directly to the construction of the project and internal initiatives, all which will give you valuable industry experience all while having a real impact on our organization. Job Description
We are looking for experienced electricians to install, test, commission, service and repair PQ products and systems (AC and DC products), ensuring equipment conforms with company operating specifications and customer requirements. The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer support and thereby assist in the retention and gaining of new customers and new business.
**This role will require you to travel 50% or more to mine sites to perform the job mentioned above.**
**Key Duties:**
+ Install, service, and repair equipment in-house and on-site as required in accordance with service and maintenance agreements.
+ Respond to requests for emergency repairs and provide rostered standby support 24/7.
+ Liaise with Call Centre and technical staff to maintain, service and repair equipment per requirement and quality control standards.
+ Undertake training and provide training and technical support for customer staff and sub-contractors where required.
+ Perform tests on units using required tools and meters and prepare detailed reports on tests carried out such as load test, battery test, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), etc.
+ Ensure that all service reports are submitted within 24 hours of job completion.
+ Liaise with Project Management and/or Sales team to carry out site inspection, commissioning and testing of Project jobs. This will involve the creating, modifying of all documentation and reports for submission.
+ Be aware of the company's and your own obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations as well as the company's documented Quality Management system.
**Qualifications:**
+ Grade Electrician
+ 5 years' experience in a technical role servicing electrical or power electronics equipment
+ Intermediate skills in MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)
+ Exceptional communication skills
