About the role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role supports the Consumer Experience business unit to deliver on financial commitments across multiple channels and markets. You'll provide commercial insights, build strong cross-functional relationships, and help shape smarter business decisions.
+ Manage monthly closing and forecasting routines for Consumer Experience channels
+ Support long-term planning activities including Budget, GVP, and 5YP submissions
+ Analyse ROI of Sales & Marketing spend and provide insights on overheads management

Description
The role will be the key Finance Business Partner across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Last Mile. Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service is responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across Australia. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations, vehicles, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster.
We augment our traditional "deliver by van" with other models including Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers) and more - all designed to deliver smiles to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Last Mile business streams, Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Excellence teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements

+ Ensure tax and other regulatory reporting adheres to company policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements
+ Analyse and consider impacts of key tax reforms
+ Ensure the business unit maintains the ethical standards contained in the Code of Conduct
+ Adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements
+ Represent Tax & Financial Reporting team in internal and client meetings
+ Ensure the successful implementation of the new business pipeline (leveraging off the wider team)
+ Manage stakeholder expectations
+ Ensure we adhere to the risk and governance framework
**As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:**
+ Strong accounting and tax knowledge including the ability to respond to clients and their external auditor/advisor queries
+ Have detailed knowledge in the Financial Services Industry (administering Managed Investment Funds)
+ Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal and written English.
+ Proficient at producing and presenting reports.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff, at all levels, and third parties.
+ Proactive and able to use initiative.
+ Confident with strong decision making skills.
+ Ability to develop strong relationships within the company and with third parties.
+ Strong negotiation skills.
