**About the role**
As the **Director of Finance** and Business Support, you'll direct the hotel's financial operations and ensure the security of the hotel's assets. Reporting on the financial state of the hotel, you'll also make recommendations to improve hotel profitability. You'll be the first point of contact for all hotel financial and accounting related issues with owners, auditors (internal and external) and regulatory agencies and provide timely financial analysis and reporting for effective decision making. In addition, you'll drive superior financial performance of the hotel and provide business support to key stakeholders of the business.
**Position title: Director of Finance Salary range: $170,000 - $180,000 per annum, not inclusive of superannuation** .
**Your day to day**
In this role, you'll take the lead on managing the hotel's financial operations while supporting a high-performing team to deliver service that exceeds expectations. You'll direct daily financial activity, assign work to maintain optimal staffing, and support team development through coaching, goal setting, and targeted training. You'll work closely with HR where necessary and maintain strong connections with owners, asset managers, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.
A critical part of your role will be enhancing financial acumen across the business, hosting regular finance meetings and on-the-job training to build capability. Guest experience remains a core focus, as such you will ensure financial processes like payment options and dispute resolutions support a seamless stay. Leveraging financial analysis, market trends, and ROI evaluations, you'll identify opportunities to maximise returns, manage budgets, and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
You'll also oversee compliance with payroll systems and legislative standards to ensure timely and accurate staff payments. With a strong focus on responsible business practices, you'll maintain robust internal controls, ensure audit readiness, manage contracts, and uphold company policies and government regulations. From financial forecasting to capital project analysis, you'll play a vital role in driving the hotel's long-term success and owner satisfaction.
**What we need from you**
The ideal candidate will hold at least a bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, and bring a minimum of 4-8 years of experience leading hotel accounting or audits.
Strong leadership is essential, with the ability to guide and inspire teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You'll need excellent communication and analytical skills, enabling you to interpret complex financial data, influence stakeholders, and support strategic decision-making. A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to driving change will position you for success in this dynamic, fast-paced environment.

+ Build databases of qualified leads using various tools/tactics phone calls, email, LinkedIn, inbound enquiries
+ Organise prospect handover meeting with the sales team
+ Fill online and in-person events
+ Track and measure your activity data to learn and grow with us
**Responsibilities**
As a Business Development Partner, you create opportunities for potential clients to talk with our sales team. You will do this via a mixture of:
+ A lot of outbound calling and leaving voicemails as needed
+ LinkedIn campaigns - utilising Sales Navigator for building new connections, promoting events and acquiring email consent
+ Following up on inbound enquiry and assigning to sales
+ Filling in-person and live-online marketing events
+ Direct mail campaigns
+ Keeping accurate records of all interactions via Salesforce CRM
+ Track and nurture your own leads/contacts within the marketing pool
+ Other ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the overall Marketing and lead generation activities
Much of your day will be spent on the phone and on LinkedIn. This strategy may change from time to time because of your influence. You get to incorporate what you are learning to improve your success.
**Qualifications**
+ At least 3 years experience in a similar role

Amazon is seeking a skilled, motivated and customer obsessed Learning Business Partner with a history of high performance and creativity to support our Global Operations Learning & Development initiatives within the APAC region.
This role will support our Go to Market team, responsible for driving learning solutions that enable operational excellence across the organisation. You will serve as a strategic partner; bridging the gap between operations leaders, HR and product teams to identify, develop, and implement effective learning solutions while ensuring continuous improvement and measurable business impact.
The Learning Business Partner will be a passionate customer and learner advocate, to communicate clearly and concisely in a way which motivates others to action, to have proven capabilities in managing projects as well as to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage, often competing, priorities.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for customer experience, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and the ability to continuously improve the process of managing strategy, management and talent development activities across APAC operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with the central product function to conduct comprehensive learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
- Translate business challenges into learning requirements and opportunities
- Partner with operations leaders to understand strategic priorities and align learning solutions accordingly
- Collaborate with product teams to communicate learning requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs
- Drive rapid deployment and acceleration of learning initiatives to meet business demands
- Lead end-to-end implementation of learning solutions across designated markets
- Create and maintain execution roadmaps to ensure timely delivery of learning programs
- Performance measurement & continuous improvement of Learning Programs
- Develop and execute change management strategies to drive program adoption
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Business or related field
- 5+ years experience in a HR Business Partner, Learning and Development, people related functions or similar role
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder management
- Demonstration of strong project management executing multiple programs with conflicting deadlines in to varying markets
- Excellence in needs analysis and solution design
- Experience in implementing large-scale learning programs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to use a technology first approach
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and execute in a customer-centric manner
- Experience planning and coordinating training, large meetings or events
- Work experience with career progression in the field of training and development
- Learning facilitation experience
