What You'll DoIn the role of Fleet Manager, your duties will include:
+ Provide Leadership: Offer leadership and guidance to all transportation personnel, ensuring efficient operations and professional development.
+ Coordinate Department Improvements: Recommend and coordinate improvements in the transportation department to enhance asset utilization and personnel efficiency.
+ Monitor Equipment Requirements: Calculate and monitor equipment needs to maintain operational efficiency and stay within budget constraints.
+ Advise on Transportation Issues: Act as the main point of contact for transportation-related issues, advising and coordinating with customers to ensure their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
+ Monitor Customer Satisfaction: Regularly communicate with customers to gauge their satisfaction and make adjustments to transportation services as necessary.
+ Initiate Tracking Procedures: Develop and implement procedures to track all transportation missions, driver performance, and maintenance activities to ensure accountability and transparency.
+ Manage Fleet Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition and reduce downtime.
+ Optimize Routes and Schedules: Optimize transportation routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
+ Ensure Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with government regulations and company policies.
+ Prepare Reports: Prepare regular reports on fleet operations, budget status, and other key performance indicators to inform management decisions.
+ Enhance Safety Protocols: Develop and enforce safety protocols for all transportation activities, prioritizing the safety of personnel and the condition of transported goods.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
+ Must have a US Secret or an Australian NV-1 clearance.
+ Must have a minimum of five years of fleet management experience, transportation, or logistics roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
+ Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading a team, including overseeing personnel and operational management.
+ Fleet Management Certification: Certifications such as Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Fleet Management Operation (CFMO) are highly beneficial.
+ Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or Australian Equivalent: While not required, having a CDL can be beneficial for better understanding of the operational aspects of fleet management.
+ HAZMAT Endorsement
+ Operational and Strategic Planning Skills: Ability to develop strategic plans for fleet operations, including asset management, route optimization, and budget management.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data related to fleet operations and make informed decisions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
+ Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise in fleet operations, maintenance scheduling, or personnel management.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

We are seeking an ILS Fleet Manager to apply their Life Support and Sustainment Management expertise supporting a major defence capability.
This role serves as a pivotal technical authority within the organisation, responsible for ensuring the efficient provisioning, maintenance, and repair activities aligned with operational and contractual requirements. The role anticipates and addresses complex logistical and engineering challenges, leveraging domain expertise to drive continuous improvement and strategic alignment. Responsibilities:
+ Undertaking logistic support to establish future documentation and plans to support the capability.

As Manager, Risk – Fleet Programs, you’ll lead the development and delivery of risk frameworks, reporting, and assurance across Fleet Programs. You’ll support senior leadership in risk-based planning and oversee the Entry Into Service program, managing risks and resilience for new and mid-life aircraft. This role also involves building strong relationships across the Qantas Group to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with audit and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead risk reporting processes and deliver timely insights to senior leadership and the Board.
- Maintain and enhance the Group Risk Management Framework, including policies, procedures, and training.
- Establish and monitor operational and change-related risk processes.
- Assess and report on risk mitigation strategies and industry best practices.
- Manage audits and health checks to ensure alignment with risk management standards.
- Influence and support leaders in adopting effective risk, change, and resilience strategies.
- Review business processes to ensure controls align with risk mitigation.
- Provide subject matter expertise and maintain technical and industry knowledge.
You’ll have:
- A tertiary qualification and 8+ years’ experience in risk management, ideally with post-graduate studies.
- Strong leadership and experience in risk management for programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving strategies
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking with commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative relationships.
- Proven capability to manage complex issues independently and within teams.

The Opportunity
This is a pivotal national leadership role within Cleanaway, shaping the future of our fleet and equipment maintenance across Australia. As National Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Manager, you will set and drive standards for safe, compliant, and cost-effective workshop operations. You’ll lead the delivery of Cleanaway’s national maintenance strategy, ensuring heavy vehicles and yellow gear are available, reliable, and performing to meet the needs of our customers and communities.
You will oversee contract frameworks, warranty programs, and vendor partnerships to strengthen asset performance, while also driving cost control and sustainability outcomes. Partnering with Fleet Operations, Procurement, HSEQ and the Executive team, you’ll provide critical oversight across people, assets, market engagement, and financials to deliver strong national outcomes aligned to Cleanaway’s strategic pillars.
About You
You are an experienced fleet and maintenance leader with a proven record of managing national operations in complex, multi-asset environments.
You Bring
Demonstrated success in leading national fleet maintenance or engineering functions, with strong compliance and safety leadership. Deep technical knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance standards, regulatory requirements, and workshop operations. Commercial acumen with experience managing large maintenance budgets, warranty frameworks, and performance-based contracts. A collaborative, outcome-focused leadership style, engaging across functions and with external providers to deliver consistency and excellence. Familiarity with fleet and maintenance systems (JDE, Coupa, or similar) to support diagnostics, reporting, and decision-making. Formal qualifications in mechanical or automotive engineering (post-graduate qualifications highly regarded).
You will be known for your ability to balance technical expertise, cost control, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining a relentless focus on safety, uptime, and compliance.
