Are you a seasoned journalist with a nose for breaking news and a passion for telling stories that matter? 10 News is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced News Reporter to join our Sydney newsroom.
This isnt just another reporting role. Its a chance to be at the forefront of a news brand, across a powerful multi-platform network. As part of a dynamic, fast-moving team, youll chase leads, uncover facts, and produce compelling, high-impact television news stories that shape the national conversation.
Reporting to the Executive Producer, youll have the freedom to work independently and the support of a collaborative newsroom culture that values bold ideas, journalistic integrity, and creativity.

**Functions will include:**
+ Pitch, research, and produce original, high-quality news stories for broadcast.
+ Work under tight deadlines to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging TV news content.
+ Report live with confidence on breaking news events.
+ Take the lead on complex news stories, from concept to broadcast, with minimal supervision.
+ Proactively source and line up stories, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage.
+ Cover other newsroom roles as required.
**What are we looking for in a Reporter? Whats important?**
+ Strong news judgment and a deep understanding of the TV news landscape.
+ Exceptional communication skillsboth on-air and behind the scenes.
+ Highly motivated to cultivate contacts, you're not afraid to pick up the phone.
+ Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate editorial decisions.
+ Proven track record in television news reporting.
+ In-depth knowledge of local, national, and international current affairs.
+ Proficiency in non-linear editing systems, with experience in TV news production.
+ Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends, to meet newsroom demands.
+ Strong grasp of media law and its application in news reporting.
