**The role:**
Reporting to the Australian Defence Air Traffic Systems (ADATS) Senior Maintenance Manager, the ADATS Technician will cover specialist technical field maintenance and installation activities for the supported Air Traffic Management systems including Radar, Data Processing and Display, Communications and Automation systems. Duties involve Electronics, Mechanical, Engineering and Logistic Support activities.
This position will be based in our Cannon Hill Office in Brisbane and may need to travel to interstate customer sites, inside and outside of standard employment hours.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Provision of specialist on and off site maintenance services to ADATS Air Traffic Management systems.
+ Ensuring program and individual compliance with maintenance requirements in accordance with the contract.
+ Produce reports and action customer requests.
+ Support program and individual compliance with ADATS Maintenance Management Plan.
+ Liaise with management, sub-contractors and the customer as a subject matter expert
+ Perform installation and testing activities in support of engineering change proposals.
+ Provide on-site customer on the job training where required.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications:**
+ Tertiary qualification in Electronics or relevant engineering discipline
+ Experience in the maintenance of Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and/or aircraft systems
+ Knowledge of RAAF engineering and/or maintenance systems and procedures, relating to ATMS
+ Solid experience in WHS practices as related to working outdoors, at heights, on electronic equipment and in office environments.

**Key Accountabilities**
You will be responsible in managing day-to-day maintenance requirements working with the Maintenance Manager.
Complete daily plant inspections
Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of room equipment, such as door locks, smart card access systems, kitchen equipment, safes, televisions, phones and other electronic devices.
Basic software skills are essential in this role to keep engineering systems and records updated.
General handyperson duties, including sanding, painting, silicon work and drain cleaning.
Ensure exceptional service delivery when attending to guest requests for maintenance repairs. Good general presentation essential.
Establish and maintain positive customer and business relationships.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 15kg without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Support the department achieve team objectives and deliverables
Work collaboratively with internal departments

Amazon is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at our fast paced Fulfilment Center (FC) in Dandenong South.
The Maintenance Supervisor is the shift lead for a team of up to 8 Technicians (fitters and electricians).
During each shift, they lead the team in executing preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. They maintain a strong focus on safety by monitoring processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.

- Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
- Deliver and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
- Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site.
- Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximise smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organisation, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees.
A day in the life
In every shift, you'll be leading a team to make sure everyone has the equipment they need and that it's running properly. That involves monitoring processes so that regulations and policies are followed and ensuring that preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime.
With everything you observe on your shifts, you'll suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
- Experience directly managing teams of 3 or more
- Experience providing training and mentorship
- Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks
- Formal trade qualification: Cert III In Electrotechnology with valid trade electrical licence OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order management
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
- Experience in facilities management
- Experience of multi-contractor management
