We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee our small parcel shipping operations and export hub. The ideal candidate will optimize shipping processes, manage international logistics partnerships, and drive operational excellence across our distribution network.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance shipping efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage relationships with carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) and negotiate service agreements
- Oversee daily hub operations, including staffing, workflow optimization, and quality control
- Monitor compliance with international shipping regulations and export requirements
- Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to meet KPIs
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and drive process improvements

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

**How you create impact**
+ Key contributor to defining, communicating and executing the strategic direction, performance framework, communication framework and tactics used to drive growth on the tradelane;

+ Ensure all necessary data points/filings are satisfied to support tactical activities and stakeholders;
+ Aggregate and provision data, insights, news and market updates to support decision making and inform continuous improvement options and opportunities;
+ Own and drive performance framework with respect to tradelane seafreight - this includes ideation and delivery of initiatives that underpin performance improvements
+ Responsible for all tender responses for global accounts, working to maximise yield and delivery of growth;
+ Carrier commercial and performance responsibility for tradelane;
+ Participate in customer meetings to assist stakeholders as a SME in sea logistics;
+ Develop and deliver robust pricing strategies that deliver growth under a prudent risk management framework;
+ Oversee and enable GP yield management by identifying opportunities to improve yield and by steering cargo to maximise outcomes;

+ Proven track record in managing Asia-Oceania trade lanes and carrier relationships

**The Role**
The MV CLCM Industry & Supply Chain Manager reports to the Deputy Project Director and works within a split responsibility model, managing Australian Industry Capability and supply chain activities within Raytheon and Defence systems; collaborating across the company, MV Asset Class and suppliers to deliver outcomes.
The Industry & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for creating and embedding industry engagement and supply chain behaviours and culture, processes and procedures, and management of the Australian Industry Capability requirements. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Develop and maintain the MV SPO supply chain strategy, cognisant of changes to the MV capability Operating Support Intent and budget provisions;
+ Develop, deploy, and provide guidance in relation to supply chain governance arrangements, including effective supplier due diligence, supplier performance management, supplier relationship management and implementation of supply chain business systems, ensuring that these are aligned with requirements;
+ Develop, maintain, analyse, and advise on supply chain metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives, cost effective outcomes, financial savings, and productivity improvements;
+ Management of the AIC obligations, specifically:
+ Market testing activities;
+ Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including Enterprise partners, suppliers, Office of Defence Industry Support, state government defence departments, and industry groups;
+ Act as a point of contact for general industry enquiries relating to MV life cycle management; and
+ Identify opportunities to increase indigenous-owned and veteran-owned businesses in the MV supply chain.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
+ Requires a University Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience);
+ Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience (when a university degree is held);
+ Expert knowledge of Australian industry and government with established networks.
+ Demonstrated experience in:
+ Collaborating across multi-disciplinary and geographic dispersed teams;
+ Development of a resilient supply chain and ability to plan, implement and manage strategic supplier relationships;
+ Vendor management;
+ Supporting customer requirements and meeting time critical deadlines.
+ **Desirable:** Experience working within naval sustainment programs;
