Global Logistics is a team of highly experienced logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers focused on improving the speed and reliability of Amazon's cross-border logistics capabilities.
The Global Logistics team is responsible for executing the timely movement of freight from global manufacturing hubs cross-border into Amazon's international marketplaces for retail direct import vendors. Leveraging the capabilities of world-class logistics providers and internal Amazon supply chain solutions, Global Logistics Services increases selection and lowers cost for our customers.
We are looking for a talent who will deliver research to drive insights and prioritization.International Logistics Operations Specialist, Global Mile Australia will be responsible for the performance of cross-border Carrier related transactions to Australia. The Specialist will facilitate the flow of information between different stakeholders (Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses/Amazon Stakeholders) and proactively resolves any potential issues that impacts customer/vendor/seller experience and delivery performance by conducting problem analysis, researching & querying internal tools, making prompt judgement and through an effective communication with the stakeholders. In this role you will propose, manage, participate and implement global or local continuous improvement initiatives as well as stepped improvements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Manage day to day international logistics operations
-Manage Shipment Order-to-Arrival of Air/Ocean
-Manage daily queries and requests from Carriers and Internal Stakeholders leveraging internal tools and resources. Escalate to Amazon internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Identify any trend that are impacting or potentially impacts Customer/Seller Experience, deep dive and drive improvements in partnership with Global Mile, Amazon Australia and Carriers.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on Carrier related KPI metrics, analyze, identify outliers and engage with carriers to identify the cause.
- Provide volume forecast to carriers during peak season and as the systems become available in Weekly/Monthly Cadence
- Document and measure standard work within country and between trading lanes to improve reliability and predictability and performance measurement.
- Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements
- Influence and implement specified analytical approach
- Work with clients to define best output based on expressed stakeholder needs
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will have the opportunity to own Sales & Operations (S&OP) planning at the highest level for Amazon's fulfillment business in Australia. Key job responsibilities
The broad mission of the S&OP team is to align and optimize the FC network plan for labor and capacity constraints, ideal placement and buy volumes, plan accuracy, and improve tools to automate the planning process. Each week S&OP provide an accurate short to medium term aggregate fulfillment plan (up to 13 weeks) for the AU Amazon fulfillment network. The plan reflects the projected fulfillment needs of the Retail/FBA teams and partners, and includes all inbound and outbound flows across the network. The FC leadership uses this plan in making decisions on full-time and temporary labor as well as in supporting other decisions within the FCs. Also, multiple teams in AU Supply Chain and Transportation organization consume our plan to make critical weekly decisions. The plan also serves as the basis for storage and throughput planning during peak periods. Each published plan should satisfy the best given conditions of labor, storage and throughput capacity requirements of the network while minimizing the total cost to serve customer.

Work backwards from our customers - Consumers, FC, Transportation Network to work out their pain points resulting from Forecast Variances. Understand and analyze root causes and influence stakeholders by connecting across the organization to put in corrective actions to improve upon daily and weekly plans in line with business strategy. + 3PL and Supplier Relationship Management- Actively manages the relationships with 3PL service providers and vendors. Ensures the service providers and vendors meet the committed KPIs consistently. Makes a concerted effort to build mutually beneficial partnership with selected key service providers and vendors. Ensures corrective and preventive actions are implemented swiftly in cases of service failures.

Works with the 3PL service providers to ensure such complains / requests are met swiftly. Note that speed is key in healthcare logistics given the importance on patient care.

The Supply Chain team is looking for an experienced Program Manager with a strong delivery record and leadership experience to own and manage strategic, cross-functional operations and business initiatives. Flow Control acts as bridge between all operations teams across first, middle and last mile and is responsible for seamless planning and execution during peak and off peak periods. This position involves regular communication with Operation Teams, senior management, and project sponsors on status, risks and change control. Flow Control will focus on deep diving forecasting performance to build a robust output, by keeping plans, feedback and goals aligned between all the above mentioned stakeholders. This role will oversee the ownership, coordination and administration of all aspects of an on-going program including volume and capacity forecasting and execution.
The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills along with preferred experience in Forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning and Transportation. You know and love working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and enthusiastic about partnering with the business to deliver results. You would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
