**Job Summary:**
The Market Development Director is a strategic and dynamic role focused on growing our business, by expanding Bentley Systems' impact within the infrastructure and construction industries. This position involves identifying opportunities at early stages, building and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and advocating for Bentley's solutions to address industry challenges. The role encompasses strategic market and industry planning, influencing infrastructure project formulation, driving technology adoption, and ensuring seamless coordination of RFX (Request for Proposal/Information) processes.
A major part of the role is to identify and work on developing project eco-systems of industry players including Utilities, engineering consultancies, owner operators, key public sector agencies, policy makers from federal and state governments and funding agencies. Success in this role relies on continuing to build Bentley's relationship with Key Accounts, Infrastructure Owners and policy makers to become their strategic partner of choice in ANZ. We are looking for someone who is adept at developing go-to-market plans, navigating strategic conversations, managing multiple stakeholders, and helping grow sales pipeline.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Market Research and Ecosystem Development**
+ Support/Conduct studies and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas to identify new opportunities for Bentley Systems in the ANZ region based on Infrastructure development and funding trends.
+ Identify and drive new business opportunities by in accordance with market trends, infrastructure initiatives, and emerging technology needs.
+ Map the important Infrastructure Projects in the Power, Mining and Transportation industries in region aligned with Bentley's strategic priorities. Engage with decisions makers of these key projects to develop opportunities for Bentley solutions across the ecosystem.
+ Work with the Bentley industry/account growth teams as the industry subject matter expert in envisioning the digital transformation opportunities for Bentley. Play an active part in account planning for expansion and whitespace discovery within Key Industry accounts and win new business from project eco-systems.
+ Cultivate relationships with investors, regulators, asset owners, project developers, public and private entities, government influencers, and downstream supply chain participants to influence project outcomes.
+ Find, shape, and help us win early stage, and longer-term commissions, across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure programs and schemes.
+ Develop and execute strategic ecosystem propositions that enable Bentley's solutions to become integral to infrastructure projects for their full lifecycle.
+ Represent Bentley in relevant industry associations and forums, building awareness and impact with public and private owner organizations.
+ Build partnerships with digital integration partners to develop a broader ecosystem for deploying Bentley solutions.
**Strategic Influence and Project Formulation**
+ Engage early in the project lifecycle with decision-makers to shape infrastructure planning, design, and technology adoption throughout the full program and asset lifecycle.
+ Serve as a thought leader, promoting Bentley's products and solutions to deliver value to stakeholders and our business.
+ Provide insights and function as a pivotal source of industry intelligence on trends, projects, and news, sharing information with sales and marketing teams.
**Thought Leadership and Advocacy**
+ Cultivate strong networking C-Level relationships with key customers, infrastructure owners and industry relevant organizations.
+ Represent Bentley as a strategic thought leader at conferences, events, trade media and client engagements, advocating for Bentley's technology and its role in solving critical infrastructure challenges.
+ Promote Bentley's digital transformation vision and progress through presentations, white papers, and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
+ Lead and form digital transformation thought leadership in the infrastructure sector to support the evolution of project workflows using Bentley solutions.
**RFX Shaping and Coordination**
+ Partner with stakeholders to identify and then shape RFPs, RFIs, and tenders to align Bentley's capabilities with project specifications at the earliest stages.
+ Lead internal coordination with account managers, technical sales, services, success, and product teams to deliver comprehensive RFX responses, ensuring maximum win rates.
+ Collaborate with account teams to qualify and prioritize opportunities across various accounts and industry sectors.
**Collaboration and Leadership**
+ Work closely with Bentley account teams, Evangelists, Solution Engineering, and Product teams to align strategies and drive demand.
+ Actively participate in account planning to identify whitespace opportunities and expand existing relationships.
+ Partner with Industry Strategy and Product teams to inform strategies using market intelligence and trends.
+ Serve as an in-context coach to Bentley Account teams, providing guidance on account and opportunity planning.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field and/or 15+ years of experience in the Infrastructure, Engineering, Construction, and/or Operations industry, with a strong background in business development or sales.
+ Experience engaging with public and private sector stakeholders and influencing project lifecycles.
+ Must be a collaborator who is goal-oriented and confident, with aptitude and desire to build a high-performing team and business.
+ Demonstrated ability to get things done, build consensus, resolve conflict, and solve tough business problems, working in concert with others.

+ Monitor and prepare regular reports on Oceania's performance on activities including, but not limited to, credit limits, loan due date checks, borrow ratings reviews and audits to MUFG policy and guidelines
+ Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines
+ Maintain and update credit limits of front and back office systems
+ Produce risk exposure and profit and loss reports for Treasury, Head Office and regulatory purposes
+ Produce credit and market risk usage and detect exceptions
+ Maintenance of all middle office systems
+ Assist in testing new risk management systems
+ Document and update risk management systems on a regular basis
+ Carry out special projects as assigned
**What we are looking for:**
This is a great role for someone with strong Excel skills working in an analytical role, looking to start a career in banking, particularly within risk. Previous banking experience is desirable but not required, however Excel skills are critical to the role.
You'll have good communication and presentation skills, and have a client-centric approach. You will be highly organised, with an ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills are essential.
You'll likely have a tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance or accounting.

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. You will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's cloud computing platform for Analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI. Your responsibilities will include helping to define key customers and industries to target, driving the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in those accounts and industries, and enabling the sales team drive the day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business opportunity. You'll also work closely with the product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers, architects, and DBAs. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the GTM strategy and execution for Analytics & AI in ANZ, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.
- Leverage your deep expertise in your (Domain) to understand the most important customer problems in your region and enable account aligned teams in the field to solve them.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to expand markets/accounts, develop scalable programs to drive adoption, and identify new opportunities within your domain.
- Develop and execute goals to drive long term growth in your geography, while meeting/exceeding revenue and non-revenue driven KPI's.
- Bring customer data and market signals back to Worldwide teams to ensure we are prioritizing the building of the right features and services for our customers.
- Delivering monthly/quarterly business reviews and operational planning documents for your respective tech domain and geography.
- Drive geographical scale through external partners; Partner with cross functional teams across Solution Architecture, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, and Training and execute customer acquisition programs and strategies.

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience
- 7+ years experience in Analytics and AI/ML
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills with experience communicating to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO), building close relationships, and closing large revenue accounts.
- Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners. You've not only carried quotas, you've consistently exceeded them by doing the right thing for your customer.
- Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing cross-functional solutions-led go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motion.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms;
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
- Recognized industry expertise in Analytics and AI/ML with proven public speaking and media prowess.
