**A Day in the Life**
In this exciting role as a Clinical Specialist, you will be working closely with the team to achieve sales revenue and market share targets in the Brisbane region by providing technical and clinical excellence to implanters and clinical stakeholders. The Structural Heart Business is one of the fastest-growing businesses within Medtronic. It helps patients all over the globe needing valve replacement.
The Structural Heart operating unit offers minimally invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart valves. We focus primarily on the transcatheter replacement of the Aortic Heart Valve.
This position will be reporting to the State's Regional Sales Manager and is to practice professional and effective territory management in terms of organization, technical expertise, administration, inventory management and expense planning and control.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Work with Clinical Territory Managers' (CTM's) to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide highest level clinical service and technical support.
+ Support CTMs through aligned promotion and selling of defined Medtronic products & services to key specialists and technical staff.
+ Collaborate with CTMs and broader team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning and execute on agreed actions.
+ Pro-actively meet with CTMs and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state.
+ Support sales & marketing programs with specific complimentary activities as provided by the Marketing team.
+ In consultation with Clinical Territory Managers and Divisional Staff, play a lead role with technical in- services, presentations, and training to specified customers.

+ Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
+ Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
+ Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
+ Retrieve all expiring product from field locations and return to the warehouse prior to expiry.
+ All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
+ Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
+ All other duties as assigned.
+ Travel requirement: less than 25%.
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ A Bachelor's degree in Nursing qualifications, general science degree, or similar preferred
+ At least 2 years' experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent technical medical experience

+ Ensure all administrative tasks, record keeping and reporting are maintained in an effective and timely manner.
+ Update clinical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks.
+ Promoting a team culture by assisting others during periods of high workloads, leave or absence so that overall objectives can be met.
+ Provide input and support to marketing programs as required.
+ Where appropriate, become involved in FME activities including attendance at staff meetings and involvement in company events and attendance at external meetings (e.g., Home Therapies, RSA. ANZICS, CICM)
+ Demonstrate a high level of understanding, knowledge, and skills in the designated specialty (HD/seating/Acute) Fresenius Medical Care portfolio, dialysis therapy, intensive care or renal nursing.
+ Deliver and evaluate approved education programs /in-services about FME products.
+ Maintain own clinical competence in line with FME Clinical Competencies
+ Organise events such as training sessions, focus groups, networking events etc. for customers and health groups in conjunction with respective sales managers and other departments if/as required.
+ Undertake other tasks as required to support the team and business.

+ Registered Nurse with demonstrated renal (HD) skills or registered nurse with demonstrated intensive care (ICU) skills highly desirable.
