As the Refrigeration Mechanic/HVAC Technician you will perform maintenance and repair to equipment associated with the HVAC infrastructure at OASIS. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance of large chillers, DX refrigeration equipment, chilled water-cooling systems, residential air conditioning systems and the air conditioning systems of its vehicle fleet. Scope of work will range from minor and major repairs, servicing and where necessary replacement of equipment.
**_Applicants must be an USA citizen who have a TS/SCI or Australian Citizen who can obtain the appropriate level of security clearance._**
**Responsibilities/Duties**
1. Performing maintenance tasks as required. Scheduled or repairs.
2. Performing tasks for project type work as required on an ad hoc basis.
3. Planning of tools, equipment, assistance and materials needed to complete tasks.
4. Liaising with others to notify and organize tasks to be undertaken as required.
5. Ensuring as much as is possible that equipment is maintained to operate in a safe manner.
6. Reporting any incidents via chain of command to Management as a priority
7. Use of computer systems to record and plan work tasks.
8. Assisting in all areas of Facilities Maintenance from as required. Not limited to HV switching, cleaning of mechanical spaces and shops.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

**SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT**

Reporting to the Area Services Manager, your role is to provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on commercial BMCS and Plant Control Systems across Brisbane and the surrounding areas.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**
+ Responsible for the diagnosis, repair, validation and commissioning of existing installed base of building automation systems utilizing knowledge of direct digital controls (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory and applied control strategies.
+ Responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, quoting remedial works and ongoing planned maintenance.
+ Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, quoting, repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
+ Coordinates with team leader and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site repairs by extensively examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work within a team environment.
+ Keeps current on Trane and Trend products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
+ Continually enforces safety to the highest corporate and legislative standards.

**About the Role:**
· As a CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on the job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.
· This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
· We are currently hiring Apprentice in AC & Refrigeration to join us and support Data Centre Critical Environment.
**What You'll Do:**
· Receive training from current operations team in proper job safety and repair procedures.
· Observe operations team while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
· Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
· Work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
· Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
· Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
· Impact through methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion.
**What You'll Need:**
· High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a college program or technical school.
· In progress Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrical/Air-conditioning & Refrigeration
· Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
· Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
· Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

· Must be Australian Citizen - NV1 clearance is required
