**Job Description Summary**
The Associate Director, Corporate Account Management acts as the representation of BD with customers and the industry in Australia and as a Senior Manager for the local team. The primary responsibility is to contribute to Business Growth, through effective direct management of two other CAM and the coaching of the NSW and WA State managers (dotted lined reporting to this role), identify synergies cross Businesses and leverage relationship with key customers' stakeholders to progress Business opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Deliver revenue and gross profit targets across assigned strategic accounts (e.g., Healthscope, HSV, Royal Melbourne, Royal Women's, Northern, Eastern, Epworth, SAN, COBL).
+ Coach and support CAMs and State Managers in progressing business opportunities, identifying BD cross-business synergies, and removing barriers to success.
+ Develop and implement strategic plans to mitigate business risks and capitalize on opportunities arising from healthcare reforms and evolving procurement models.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, acting as the primary account owner to ensure customer needs are met and expectations exceeded.
+ Support contract development, collaborating with BD business units to align on account-specific objectives and create integrated offerings that maximize BD's portfolio value and drive profitability and market share.
+ Lead regular business review meetings with customers to ensure alignment with their evolving needs and expectations.
+ Ensure compliance with BD's legal and corporate standards in all contracts and tenders.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Management, Customer Service, Inventory Control, and Finance, and actively participate in relevant business unit meetings.
+ Lead monthly team meetings with CAMs and State Managers, and provide key updates to the ANZ Leadership Team.
+ Ensure timely submission of reports as required by BD senior management.
+ Maintain accurate records of business activities and growth initiatives in SFDC.
+ Spend approximately 50% of time in the field, engaging directly with customers and teams.
+ Ensure alignment with BD's core values, and compliance with relevant legislation, ethical standards, and corporate policies.
+ Adhere to the Quality Management System requirements as maintained by BD Australia & New Zealand.
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience required:**
+ Proven sales leadership with 7 - 10 years' experience in sales management in a similar sized healthcare organisation.
+ Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing and/or a related field essential (MBA would be preferred)
+ An excellent understanding of the Australian Public and Private hospital system and the key issues of the healthcare industry.
+ Extensive experience in healthcare sales in both the public and private sector.
+ Ability to research, analyse, interpret, and maximise the use of market intelligence
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively present information; ability to respond to queries in a clear and concise manner.
+ Proven ability to create a vision and inspire others to achieve it.
+ Strong sales skills in technical and solution-based selling.
+ Exceptional negotiation skills and business acumen
+ Experience with CRM program management an advantage.
+ Strong project management skills
+ Experience of working cross functionally and collaboratively in an international organisation.

**Job Description Summary:**
We are looking to add a **Technical Sales Specialist** to the BD Biosciences (BDB) Team, that will offer customers a complete BD solution through successful positioning of the BD Rhapsody Single Cell Multiomics portfolio. The position will cover key accounts across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) as well as map out and drive growth across this market segment through face-to-face selling, building strong relationships with key customers, education, technical support and attendance at trade displays for our customers across ANZ.
The role of the Single-Cell Multiomics Technical Sales Specialist is to drive new business opportunities for the BD Rhapsody Single Cell Multiomics product portfolio to meet annual sales budget and profit margin targets. This person will also demonstrate self-learning and be abreast of current trends in the related research field. As part of the Sales and Clinical team you will have strong commercial acumen and the desire to be part of a team as well as a flexible approach to satisfying customer needs.
This position can be based in **Sydney** or **Melbourne**
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead sales activities for the BD Rhapsody Single-Cell Multiomics (scM) platform across ANZ.
+ Achieve revenue and gross profit targets within key accounts, contributing to the overall BDB business objectives.
+ Develop and maintain a robust short- and long-term pipeline to consistently generate new opportunities and profitable revenue.
+ Understand the primary scientific objectives and scM needs of key accounts.
+ Develop and execute tailored customer strategies to capture new opportunities and expand BD's footprint.
+ Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
+ Identify emerging market opportunities and trends within the scM space.
+ Gather and communicate relevant market intelligence to support the development of targeted marketing strategies and tactics.
+ Help position BD's technology and value proposition to effectively differentiate from competitors.
+ Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Applications teams to drive sales and profit growth.
+ Align internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies.
+ Collaborate with Customer Service, Inventory Control, Finance, Regulatory, and other internal teams to support customer success.
+ Foster positive working relationships with key external stakeholders including major suppliers, customers, partners, industry associations, and government representatives.
+ Represent BD professionally in industry forums, conferences, and customer engagements.
**Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Completed tertiary education, BSc or equivalent in life sciences.
+ Excellent product knowledge of, and expertise relating to solutions provided through the BD Biosciences portfolio including reagents and instrumentation.
+ **Genomics** or **Molecular Biology** lab experience would be advantageous
+ Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within larger teams to drive outstanding results for customers using the BD Rhapsody single-cell system
+ Demonstrated sales experience across a range of portfolios including laboratory consumables and capital equipment sales would be preferable.
+ Demonstrated laboratory experience preferably in Immunology, Genomics, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology.
+ Proven business acumen and sales capability.
+ Resilient and proactive.
+ Strong attention to detail.
The position requires significant direct interaction with existing and potential customers and carries an expectation of 70% travel. **Key Responsibilities**
Servicing and Managing the Customer Base:
Produce Forward Call Cycle/Plan.
Make regular customer calls either with or without the local Sales person.
Identify fresh business prospects and collaborate with the Technical Sales Manager to cultivate sales opportunities.
Respond to enquiries and complaints, reinforcing the company's position.
Sales Promotion:
Follow the directive selling program to improve the sales of targeted products.
Attend Trade Exhibitions as required to generate leads and prospects.

Develop and implement technology seminars relevant to the account research focus.
Product / Market Knowledge:

Budgets / Targets:
Meet Revenue and Gross Profit sales targets for the defined territory (ANZ).
Achieve sales targets set for specific promotional activities.
Administration and Reports:
Maintain accurate and detailed customer records on the company CRM.
Submit weekly sales reports to the Technical Sales Manager.
Submit all other requested reports by due dates.
Key Account Management:
Identify Key Accounts that will significantly contribute to sales growth.
Partner with the Technical Sales Manager and Marketing to devise strategies for Key Accounts.
Deliver reports to the sales team regarding the progress of Key Accounts.
**Experience and Skills**
Experience and Education:
Educated at BSc or equivalent experience level or above.
At least two years of relevant experience in sales and account relationship management preferred.
Extensive experience in the cell culture, protein expression, and/or cell and gene therapy workspace.
Essential Skills:
Strategic selling and market development ability.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Professional presentation.
Self-management and proven time management.
Frequent interstate travel is required (up to 30%).
Desirable Skills:
A Master's Degree or equivalent experience in life sciences is highly desirable.
Strategic and tactical market development skills.
Presentation skills for internal and marketplace use.
Displayed efficiency in a globally matrixed organization.
