A strong consulting background with experience in non-financial risk management (including operational risk and resilience) and or superannuation is preferable. You will also be expected to draw upon your insights and networks to identify business opportunities for IBM Promontory to pursue.
**Your role and responsibilities**
To be successful in this role a candidate must possess strong leadership skills and have the stature to engage effectively with clients and potential clients at all levels. The candidate will also need to inspire and work effectively with team members drawn from a range of technical disciplines. **Required technical and professional expertise**
* An undergraduate degree in either Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or Law - with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
* At least 6 experience in Financial services, Consulting, Regulator, Compliance, Risk management, Governance or legal.
* Track record working in a fast-paced and unstructured environment with aptitude for identifying and developing innovative solutions to client challenges.
* Analytics and data: Proven track record of successfully delivering highly analytical and data intensive work. Strong understanding of data governance and experience in working with large and unstructured datasets to draw meaningful and actionable insights and outcomes.
* AI: A strong understanding of AI fundamentals, including AI governance, and model development and application.
* Expert level capabilities in Excel (incl. advanced excel functionality and VBA / Macro development). Expert level capabilities in working with large datasets in SQL
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Law or Business Administration with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.

Amazon's Brisbane based software engineering teams own the critical last hop in outbound fulfillment of customer orders. The features you build have direct impact on customers lives. You will work with scientists and engineers to optimize fulfillment processes, reducing costs and improving quality. You will experiment with new ideas, turning the successful ones into full production systems whilst failing fast and learning from those which are not. We obsess over reducing the time and cost in fulfilling a customer's order.

* Own the development of software end to end, from working with stakeholders on requirements through to owning the ongoing operations of the software that you build at scale.
Key Responsibilities include:-
- Ability to code right solutions starting with broadly defined problems,
- Understand basic Algorithm fundamentals
- Development of code in object oriented languages like C++ and java and build large scale robust distributed systems
Basic Qualifications
Candidates for this role must have:
- You must be in the final semester/ trimester of a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree , or have completed your university studies within the past 24 months of applying (Aug 2023 - Dec 2025) and able to commence a role from Aug 2025 to Nov 2025.
- Enrolled/Completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology at university or relevant tertiary institution
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience developing in a Linux environment
* Experience developing software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms

Internet Edge Services (IES) enables optimal connectivity for AWS customers via software. We build and operate web services that optimize AWS's global Internet traffic, enhancing network performance and availability while providing operational visibility and control capabilities.
In this role, you will support development and management of software controllers that optimizes hundreds of terabits of traffic leaving or entering AWS. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
