What You'll DoIn the role of Systems Engineer: Risk Manager, your duties will include:
+ Lead risk assessments and develop risk management plans for systems and projects across various domains.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
+ Must have 7 years of related experience supporting large systems and sub-systems.
+ Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
+ Proven experience in systems engineering and risk management.
+ Strong understanding of risk analysis tools and techniques.
+ Expertise in system architecture and lifecycle management.
+ Ability to assess and mitigate technical, operational, and financial risks.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

This role will support the delivery of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) including:

+ Partner with the business and support functions to provide trusted advice on risk management practices and the development of an effective and efficient risk and control framework.
+ Develop and deliver training and workshops to refresh risk management skills and competencies and educate staff in the in the Oceania business as required.
+ Assist in the tracking and timely resolution of risk events and associated counters measures.
+ Work with the business and support functions to ensure that the countermeasures are fit for purpose and that the controls are well designed and will mitigate identified risks.

**What we are looking for:**

Ideally you will have 1 years' experience working in an operational risk, enterprise risk or audit function in financial services, with exposure to APRA & RBNZ (or another banking regulatory agency) regulations. However, we will also give consideration for recent graduates (in a related discipline), with a good understanding of operational risk management best practice and a grounding in the Three Lines of Defence principals of risk management.

- Proactive in providing suggestions in process related improvements and constantly be informed of evolving regulatory and cybersecurity related requirements
- Proficient in providing risk insights to the leadership team through risk dashboards for key initiatives, plans and audit tracking of the current processes as per management requirements.
About You:
- Experience in working with digital and technology functions ideally in a technology and/or cybersecurity related compliance role including managing complex technology / cyber security related audit / regulatory projects.
- Strong understanding of IT general controls and technology and/or cybersecurity risk management frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/27002, GDPR, data privacy related regulations,
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join our Land Systems Division in Melbourne, supporting the Armoured Fighting Vehicle Branch. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in systems safety engineering to some of the most advanced and strategically important platforms in the Australian Army.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in the safety management of complex land systems, including platforms such as Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles, Abrams M1A2 Main Battle Tanks, and other protected mobility and manoeuvre systems.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
+ Development and maintenance of Safety Case Reports, Hazard Logs, and Safety Assessments in accordance with Defence standards.
+ Conducting hazard identification, hazard analysis (PHA, FHA, SHA, SSHA, O&SHA), and risk assessments to ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882, DEF(AUST) 5679, and applicable Defence safety frameworks.
+ Supporting system certification, verification, validation, and assurance activities for land combat and armoured vehicle programs.
+ Providing safety input into design reviews, engineering change proposals, and configuration management processes.
+ Preparing Safety Program Plans and Engineering Safety Reports to support decision-making and certification.
+ Engaging with Defence stakeholders, OEMs, subcontractors, and other MSPs to ensure safety objectives are integrated across the platform lifecycle.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related).
+ Significant experience in systems safety engineering within Defence, aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries.
+ Knowledge of Safety Case development, hazard analysis techniques, and risk management frameworks.
+ Familiarity with ASDEFCON contracts and Defence Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) requirements.
+ Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status (or working towards) will be highly regarded.
+ NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance (mandatory).

With continued growth across NSW, we have opened an opportunity for a Fire Safety Engineer within our Buildings & Places team in Sydney. This would suit either a Senior Engineer or someone close to achieving that milestone in their career

+ Providing substantial technical expertise of fire engineering, from first principles to the ability of leading a large-scale fire engineering projects from concept stage through to building occupation.
+ Project and client relationship management across a variety of markets
+ Use your significant expertise in developing performance-based fire engineering strategies across a wide range of buildings and infrastructure projects.
+ Mentor team members in their development, facilitate opportunities that build competency, and assisting with professional accreditation where appropriate.
**Qualifications**

+ 5+ years' experience as a Fire Safety Engineer.

KBR's growing Aerospace Team is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Safety Engineer to assist our Canberra-based client.
The Systems Safety Engineer will provide support associated with the System Safety Program and the efficient identification and management of Safety Case issues.
The Systems Safety Engineer will use their specialised knowledge to solve complex and unique problems, and direct daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support within project controls.
Location: Canberra
Responsibilities:
+ Provide assistance in shaping the System Safety Program for the projects within the business area.
+ Provide specialist System Safety guidance to address System Safety issues.
+ Conduct and participate in System Safety discussions, working groups and ad-hoc meetings as they are scheduled.
+ Provide support to review /approval of artefacts developed by other staff within scope and level of Engineering Authority assigned by the COA.
+ Provide support to the development of relevant Engineering Tech Work Instructions to ensure compliance with CASG policy / guidance while capturing lessons learnt and best practice.
+ Provide Engineering input to the development of the SPO's Strategies and Plans, including policy and procedures.
+ Provide reports and other artefacts relating to:
+ System Safety Program
+ Minutes of working group
+ System Safety recommendations
+ Certification Plans
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
+ Provide assistance in shaping the System Safety Program for FAMSPO projects.
+ Provide specialist System Safety guidance to address System Safety issues Conduct and participate in System Safety discussions, working groups and ad-hoc meetings as they are scheduled.
+ Provide support to plan and execute Configuration Management.
+ Provide support to conduct System Safety Requirements Management Provide support to conduct Verification & Validation, Test & Evaluation Management, and Material System definition, and documentation of any project-unique elements in a supplement to the FAMSPO Engineering Management Plan (or subordinate plans).
+ Provide reviews of particular elements of supplier provided content prior to, and following, Major System Reviews (MSRs), up to and including technical acceptance.
+ Participate in project review meetings, working groups and ad-hoc meetings as scheduled or required.
Desirable:
+ Knowledge of Defence Writing standards (Desirable)
+ Knowledge of internal Defence processes (Desirable)
+ Ability to work autonomously, multi-task and demonstrate an ability to meet demanding milestones. (Highly desirable)
