In this permanent full time role, you will manage the civil design and documentation on a variety of urban infrastructure projects (Roads) in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio. You will be involved in resolving design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines and deliver projects within a multi-disciplinary team.

**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Design, coordination and project management of urban infrastructure (Roads) projects, from feasibility through to construction
+ Prepare technical reports and specifications
+ Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
+ Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
+ Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
+ Undertake and manage site inspections
+ Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction

**What you will bring to the team**
+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering

The MongoDB Developer Productivity team provides a highly leveraged foundation of shared tools and services that support our product development process. We succeed when MongoDB product and engineering teams are able to deliver the best solutions to our customers through a highly effective software development process.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop tools and processes to drive significant increases in code quality and development productivity, specifically within the area of performance. This role requires an individual with deep empathy for engineering teams, who cares strongly about writing high-quality code that solves real end-user problems, and has a drive to improve the practices and processes of MongoDB's many software engineering teams.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Sydney, Australia for our hybrid working model.
**Our ideal candidate will have:**
+ Proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining robust software, primarily using Python (strongly preferred), Go or similar. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
+ A demonstrated ability to understand complex user requirements or ambiguous customer requests, translating them into clear technical specifications and well-architected, practical solutions
+ Experience across the full software development lifecycle, with the ability to make sound technical trade-offs (e.g., speed vs. reliability, build vs. buy)
+ Practical experience with, and a good intuition for, modern DevOps practices and tools relevant to building, deploying, managing, and monitoring production systems. + Utilise your water infrastructure knowledge, leadership, coordination and communication skills to successfully engage and guide multidisciplinary project delivery teams, whilst working with closely with end clients and contractors.

Due to significant contract awards within our Australia and New Zealand Water business, we are expanding our Water Infrastructure group and are currently searching for a Design Manager to join the team, based in either our Sydney or Newcastle office.
The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range to both internal and external clients, delivering projects across water and wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure, and defence sectors. From concept design to design delivery partnerships and design and construct solutions, we prioritise sustainable outcomes that benefit both our clients and the communities they serve.
**How you'll make a difference:**
+ Utilise your water infrastructure knowledge, leadership, coordination and communication skills to successfully engage and guide multidisciplinary project delivery teams, whilst working with closely with end clients and contractors.
+ You will be responsible for overall design delivery including having the ultimate carriage on any design project decisions.
+ Ensure projects are delivered within the constraints of quality, time and budget.
+ Work collaboratively with leaders across our ANZ team for delivery of the projects, as well as assisting with project resourcing and business initiatives.

+ A successful track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to outstanding quality standards.
+ Proven experience in design management, overseeing the planning, design, and execution of projects.
+ Experience in and a strong understanding of water infrastructure including in pumps, pipes, or treatment systems, as well as exposure to key water infrastructure clients within NSW.
+ Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
+ Ability to understand how various systems, processes, and stakeholders interconnect, ensuring seamless integration and a bigger-picture approach.
+ A relevant tertiary qualification.
