**How you create impact**
You will be responsible for controlling the quality + quantity of incoming +/or outgoing goods through detailed inspection processes. This will include maintaining quality data using relevant software + forms, implementing preventative measures to ensure outputs of high quality while analyzing + reporting quality issues to external + internal stakeholders.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will have the opportunity to own Sales & Operations (S&OP) planning at the highest level for Amazon's fulfillment business in Australia. You will have a holistic view of supply and demand within the Amazon fulfillment network and be an integral part in creating and implementing large scale strategic initiatives in inventory placement optimization, delivery speed, transportation cost, labor capacity management and more - all with the goal of better serving our customers. There will rarely be a perfect solution, so it will be up to you to make data driven decisions and manage stakeholder relationships while planning and executing within an ever-changing environment.
Interfacing with AU FC Operations, Transportation, Business and Tech teams, you will be a key member of the AU Supply Chain team. The role demands strong analytical and mathematical capabilities. The candidate will analyze various supply chain data and metrics to define an intelligent inventory inbound/inventory placement/Short and Long term planning for Amazon's supply chain network to drive cost efficiency, he/she will also look into our fulfillment system/logic and optimize our outbound process. You'll be able to contribute directly to our customers' experience with the Amazon supply chain, impact placement of millions of units of inventory, and reduce fulfillment costs while maximizing free cash flow.
The broad mission of the S&OP team is to align and optimize the FC network plan for labor and capacity constraints, ideal placement and buy volumes, plan accuracy, and improve tools to automate the planning process. Each week S&OP provide an accurate short to medium term aggregate fulfillment plan (up to 13 weeks) for the AU Amazon fulfillment network. The plan reflects the projected fulfillment needs of the Retail/FBA teams and partners, and includes all inbound and outbound flows across the network. The FC leadership uses this plan in making decisions on full-time and temporary labor as well as in supporting other decisions within the FCs. Also, multiple teams in AU Supply Chain and Transportation organization consume our plan to make critical weekly decisions. The plan also serves as the basis for storage and throughput planning during peak periods. Each published plan should satisfy the best given conditions of labor, storage and throughput capacity requirements of the network while minimizing the total cost to serve customer.

**POSITION SUMMARY:**
+ Amentum is recruiting for the position of Supply Chain Coordinator in Brisbane Australia. Supply Chain Coordinator will oversee the logistics and operations of food services for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Full Line Food Distribution in Australia. This role involves managing the supply chain, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring efficient and compliant operations to meet DLA food distribution requirements.
+ This position reports to and takes directions from Regional Supply Chain Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various supply chain functions, including, warehouse operations, in-bound and out-bound materials movements, overall material expediting and tracking in accordance with procurement operating procedures and guidelines as well as with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

+ Supply Chain Coordinator will work closely with warehousing and transportation service providers, customers and vendors for timely deliveries and supports Procurement team with market research and supplier due diligence.

**DUTIES:**
+ Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
+ Work independently with minimal supervision under the direction of the Regional Supply Chain Manager
+ Responsible for the overall supply chain process starting from PO issuance to supplier to final delivery
+ Manage vendor PO trackers and Logistics - Expediting Reports.
+ Manage and track in-bound containers to ensure necessary import paperwork is in place for expeditious clearance and delivery upon arrival at port.
+ Responsible for reporting and resolving potential shortfalls and delivery discrepancies.
+ Manage customer orders and facilitate alternates/substitutes for items not in stock.
+ Coordinate with 3PLs and trucking vendors for conveyance booking and load scheduling.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation ability
+ Highly organized - Must be able to track many items simultaneously and develop work methods to facilitate tracking and reporting
+ Maintains a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and standard commercial procurement practices.
+ Provide guidance to procurement on logistics strategy and delivery terms favorable for the company to meet required delivery deadlines.
+ Actively manages supplier performance through consistent communication to ensure proper adherence to purchase order terms and conditions.
+ Coordinates with Buyers and Suppliers to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and receipt documents and invoices, up to and including executing change orders, enforcing liquidated damages, or recommending temporary suspension, in some cases.
+ Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and performs multiple tasks to perform job functions in an orderly, efficient manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Five (5) years' experience in Supply Chain coordination / Logistics - expediting and demonstrates familiarity and knowledge of international shipping and cross border trade.
+ Five (5) years' experience working with MS Office Suite and excellent computer skills.
+ BA/BS degree in business or related field
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to manage timelines, analyze data, and generate meaningful reports
+ Demonstrated ability to understand purchasing and accounting data
+ Proficiency in MS office Applications, Costpoint ERP platform (experience with similar systems is acceptable)
+ Experience working under an approved Federal Contractor's Purchasing System (highly desired)
+ Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills.
+ Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination.
+ Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**

+ Exposure with FMCG warehouse management, International shipping of FMCG, general cargo and dangerous goods by air / land, logistics coordination skills, thorough understanding of international commercial shipping terms (INCOTERMS), customs process for cross border trades.

+ Ability to learn quickly and apply new tools to problem solving
