We require an Analyst to join the market leading Infrastructure & Utilities team as it continues to grow.
**Duties include**
+ Ability to operate as project / deal team lead, driving the work product and transaction processes
+ Participate in the execution of equity and debt financing and M&A transactions
+ Perform in-depth financial, valuation, product and industry analysis, and due diligence
+ Prepare pitch books, client presentations and help create live deal materials
+ Build financial / three-statement operating/ leveraged buyout models
+ Attend client meetings as you build your network and experience
+ Help to generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients
+ Learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe
**Requirements**

**Description**
The Snr Associate will manage a portfolio of large corporate and financial institutions clients and are responsible for structuring, underwriting, negotiating, and monitoring financing solutions for their clients associated with syndicated loans, bridge financings, hedging, leasing, and treasury management products. The GCIB Australia portfolio consists of large multinational companies in sectors such as Airlines, Building Products, Construction & Engineering, Commercial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Transportation in addition to Financial Institutions and select Private Equity investments. Credits in the portfolio are principally underwritten on a cash flow basis with a mix of investment grade and non-investment grade transactions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Structuring, underwriting, negotiating, documenting, and managing credit risk associated with all banking products for a designated client portfolio.
+ Identifying opportunities to responsibly grow the loan portfolio.
+ Mitigating losses in deteriorating credits through amendments and restructurings.
+ Leading internal discussions and completing credit approval memorandums that summarize the merits and risks of a transaction based on due diligence findings, financial statement analysis, financial forecasting, assessments of terms and conditions, analysis of company and industry risks, and relationship profitability.
+ Negotiating legal documentation related to loans and derivatives.
+ Interfacing with internal control partners and external regulators.
+ Training and mentoring Credit Analysts and Associates.
**Required Skills**
+ 7 years' experience in commercial and / or corporate lending environment, with understanding of loans, trading & treasury products.
+ Strong credit risk analysis and conclusion-oriented analytical skills with ability to manage complex transactions.
+ Must be able to independently lead diligence efforts, make approval recommendations, negotiate loan documentation, and execute timely closings.
+ Able to soundly manage the portfolio and justify rationale for recommended transactions.
+ Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of risk, support, and business partners.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities - must be a team player.

AUD Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Syndicate plays a key role in the execution and distribution of AUD bond transactions across a diverse range of Citi clients, including:
+ Investment grade and high yield domestic and international corporates and financial institutions

The product focus would be a combination of:
+ Senior, unsecured securities
+ Covered bonds

This individual would work with a broad range of internal stake holders including Domestic and International DCM and Leverage Finance, Markets sales and trading & Derivatives and partners in IBD and Corporate Bank. The role has a large focus on risk management & compliance given the primary distribution function and private / public nature of the role
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the syndication, pricing, and distribution process for AUD bond transactions in both domestic and Kangaroo markets
+ Ability to act of Billing & Delivery and investor hedging
+ Advise internal and external stakeholders on optimal pricing, market timing, investor appetite, and structural considerations for new issues
+ Act as a central point of coordination across origination, sales, trading, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of deals
+ Work with global sales on investor engagement and management of primary transactions
+ Manage bookbuilding, investor communication, orderbook analysis, and allocation processes with transparency and integrity
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of fixed income investors including domestic fund managers, bank balance sheets, and central banks
+ Maintain a real-time view of the AUD primary and secondary markets, including relative value trends, spread movements, and issuance pipeline
+ Contribute to internal market commentary, investor insights, and strategic planning for origination teams
+ Support the development and mentorship of junior team members and foster a high-performance team culture
**Key Qualifications and Experience:**
+ 7-10 years of experience in DCM or Fixed Income markets, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a syndicate or execution-focused role
+ Strong understanding of the AUD bond market, including Kangaroo issuance, semi-government pricing dynamics, and investor behaviour
+ Deep knowledge of fixed income structures, regulatory frameworks (including ASIC and AFMA guidelines), and settlement processes

The team has a deep track record, is close knit and are passionate value add private equity real estate investors. This is an entrepreneurial and deeply local team within a global platform.
**Role Description**
The Vice President role is a senior role within the Australasia team, focused on cradle to grave value add real estate investment activities across a variety of sectors including last mile logistics, self-storage, childcare, and life sciences. The investment team is sector agnostic and will pursue the best available risk adjusted returns in the market for our clients. Investments can be structured in various ways, including through single assets, diversified portfolios, joint ventures, or investment platforms. Experience in all of these would be beneficial.
The role will involve a high level of operational independence and a demonstrated track record in value-add real estate investing, namely leading large portfolio and platform strategies through the acquisition, delivery and disposal phase. There will be extensive requirements to manage complex portfolios to deliver client outcomes and work with a variety of stakeholders including joint venture partners and platform companies.
This role will lead one or several high conviction strategies in the region which manages large portfolios of complex assets across sectors. The VP will be responsible and accountable for end-to-end investment performance, reporting directly into and supported by the Head of Real Estate, Australasia. The applicant should be ready to transition quickly and efficiently into the role with limited oversight / guidance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Acquisitions and disposals:**
+ Be responsible and accountable for the investments within the relevant strategy including new single asset, portfolio and platform deals
+ Generate investment strategies and continually assess these with a focus on risk adjusted returns and performance for the relevant strategy
+ Run and develop cash flow models and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis for potential acquisitions.
+ Lead preparation of memos and presentations for investment committee reviews in conjunction with other team members
+ Coordinate due diligence processes with external and internal teams.
+ Track acquisitions, dispositions, and assist with the closing process.
**Investment modelling,** **monitoring** **and reporting:**
+ Ownership of investment models ensuring accuracy and utilizing this to drive performance, risk management and exit optionality.
+ Responsible and accountable for investment outcomes, project reviews, and hold/sell analysis.
**Asset Management:**
+ Implementation and development of annual budget plans, including leasing, Capex, operating budgets and cash distribution.
+ Financing, hedging and capital-related decision making with regard to the relevant strategies. Conducting clear analysis and forming views for recommendation to the portfolio management team
+ Lead investment strategies and take strong ownership of outcomes and performance
+ Oversee existing service providers to ensure effective management.
+ Research key market data to support underwriting assumptions.
+ Work closely with joint venture partners as strategy lead to deliver on ambitious investment performance targets
**Business development:**
+ Be a senior leader who contributes meaningfully to business initiatives and projects, client information requests and data requests for fund-raising campaigns.
+ Deliver best in class results, analysis and general outputs to support business development.
**Market:**
+ Represent BlackRock in the market as a reputable player of the highest integrity consistent with the Firm's values
+ Be a passionate student of the private equity real estate market, ensuring deep market understanding, knowledge, and participation.
+ Be a best in class, market leading operator who questions market norms and has their own clearly informed views on strategic investment opportunities
**Skills /Experience**
+ Ideally 6-10 years of direct real estate investment management experience at a top tier private equity real estate fund manager or similar.
+ Demonstrated investment track record in private equity value addreal estate investing highly preferred.
+ Strong financial and commercial acumen backed by robust modelling skills
+ Team player with good people management skills
+ Technical Skills: extremely strong proficiencyin Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong quantitative capabilities, strategic thinking and critical decision making necessary.
+ Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented. Ability to make clear decisions in high pressure environments and background leading projects, investments or teams will be valued.
**Qualities**
Initiative-taking, effective workload manager and reliable collaborator. Able to work in a fast-paced, hard-working environment. Highly ambitious with the highest level of technical skills foundation.
