# Job Summary:
In this role, you will support the planning and organising of the Operarational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) program from early stage planning through to implementation. The role will involve early engagement with various stakeholders including engineering, construction, commissioning as well as co-ordination with the airport Assets and Operations teams and external airport authorities to put in place robust plans to ensure systems are ready to be integrated into the operational airport while minimising disruption to existing operations.
A specific technical focus of the role is on facility familiarisation training and in the development of the trials program so that the contractor completion program is aligned with the trials program and operating scenarios.
**Note:** This position is for a prospective project in Perth, Australia and any other offer of employment is contingent upon Bechtel being awarded the project.

+ Support develop and sequencing of the prgramwide ORAT schedules
+ Plan and coordinate ORAT workshops with all relevant stakeholders

In this role, you will lead a team to align quality culture and programs with business strategy to improve project performance. You will manage Quality Management System certification and assessment and oversee the review and evaluation of project quality and execution plans. # Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead implementation and monitoring of a project quality program and provide technical direction to peers. You will define and implement system tools and procedures, develop metrics and goals, facilitate causal analysis teams, and provide oversight of design validation and final inspection activities. You will ensure quality in high impact activities that are key to project success.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Coordinates targeted independent assessments to enable the timely mitigation of technical and project management risks
+ Identifies risk by providing independent technical analysis, guidance, and recommendations to GBU/project leadership
+ Applies quality engineering principles to design reviews, analyses, quality program plans, and other documentation
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvement activities
+ Provides oversight of design verification/validation, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities

# Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Deep understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards (e.g., AS/NZS ISO 9001).

**Your New Role and Responsibilities**
LAND 156 is a flagship Australian Defence initiative delivering a cutting-edge Counter-Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (CsUAS) capability. This program will protect ADF personnel and assets from evolving drone threats through a layered system of sensors, effectors, and command-and-control technologies.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the **Program Engineering Manager** for the LAND 156 Counter-UAS initiative will oversee the technical execution of integrated system of systems designed to detect, track, and neutralise aerial threats using cutting-edge **Radar, Effector, and Laser technologies** .
Responsibilities will include:
+ **Lead the engineering program** across all phases-from concept development to system delivery-ensuring alignment with LAND 156 objectives.
+ **Oversee multidisciplinary teams** working on Radar, Effector (kinetic and non-kinetic), and Directed Energy (Laser) systems integration.
+ **Translate operational requirements** into system architectures and engineering strategies that meet performance, safety, and compliance standards.
+ **Manage technical risk** , system interoperability, and cybersecurity across all subsystems and interfaces to ensure seamless operation.
+ **Coordinate stakeholder engagement** , including Defence, industry partners, and internal teams, to ensure program milestones are met.
+ **Drive innovation and continuous improvement** , fostering a culture of technical excellence and mission focus.
**What You'll Bring to Make an Impact**
+ Proven experience in **program-level engineering leadership** within Defence, aerospace, or complex systems environments.
+ Deep understanding of **Counter-UAS technologies** , including sensor fusion, kinetic weapons, EW systems, targeting systems, and high-energy platforms.
+ Strong background in systems engineering, integration, and compliance with Defence standards.
+ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
