**A Day in the Life**
**An exciting opportunity to join the Medtronic Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Commercial Operations Sales Enablement & Excellence team in a pivotal Systems Support Analyst role.**
This position offers the right applicant a chance to combine technical expertise in tools such as Power BI, Salesforce, and Tableau with strong business acumen to drive impactful adoption, data-driven decisions and optimise business strategies. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will collaborate across all organisational levels to gather requirements, deliver actionable insights, and support the implementation of solutions that align with Medtronic's mission to transform healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Support the deployment and drive adoption of new systems and dashboard solutions
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable insights and solutions
+ Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or Salesforce to support business decision-making
+ Extract, analyse, and visualise data, ensuring alignment with business objectives
+ Act as a trusted business partner, building strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
+ Lead and facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions and engage in business meetings offering consultation to further understand, prioritize & identify solutions to suit business requirements helping teams to achieve their objectives
+ Analyse and document complex business processes, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to automate or streamline
+ Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions, providing guidance and support where needed
+ Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance reporting & systems capabilities
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Minimum Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
+ Relevant experience working in a Data analyst and Business Partnering role, preferably within regulated sectors such as in medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer health or FMCG industry
+ Experience building & leveraging insights from Power BI dashboard solutions
+ Experience with Tableau desirable
+ Advanced proficiency of MS Office in Excel (data analysis) & PowerPoint (presentation)
+ Professional Accreditation as Salesforce.com Administrator is highly desirable
+ Results-oriented with good strategic planning, organisation and time-management skills
+ Strong project management & stakeholder management skills
+ Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
+ Outstanding attention to detail
+ Proactive can-do attitude, display initiative and growth mindset
+ Experience working in an Agile environment, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
+ AI solutions experience highly desirable

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, supporting engineering activities within the LCSS SPO under LC4S Branch. This role will focus on ensuring compliance, safety, and technical integrity across Defence systems. You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating technical documentation, safety cases, and engineering assessments, while engaging with stakeholders to deliver practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Working under broad direction, the Systems Engineer will contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and provide expert engineering advice. You will have the opportunity to work independently with a high level of autonomy and accountability, while also collaborating within an integrated workforce to achieve outcomes that directly support Defence capability.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform complex engineering activities, providing detailed advice in systems engineering.
+ Develop, review, and update technical reports, risk assessments, hazard logs, and related documentation.
+ Apply engineering expertise to identify and manage risks, uncertainties, and priorities.
+ Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers as required.
+ Review and assess technical and design packages, providing recommendations and ensuring implementation.
+ Ensure safety and compliance considerations are embedded into engineering activities.
+ Manage workflows, resources, and plans, ensuring delivery of outcomes against agreed milestones.
Skills & Experience
+ Strong knowledge of RF, network, and communication engineering architectures.
+ Experience in developing safety and certification documentation for Defence systems.
+ Understanding of the Capability Life Cycle (CLC) and configuration management.
+ Experience developing and managing hazard logs and safety case reports.
+ Familiarity with ASDEFCON deliverables.
+ Skilled in managing external suppliers, stakeholders, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Highly Desirable
+ 8+ years' experience delivering engineering outcomes in a Defence environment.
+ Previous experience in tactical communications and/or COMSEC.
+ Experience developing and managing engineering changes.
+ ERP system experience.
+ Chartered Professional Engineer (Engineers Australia), listed on the National Engineering Register.

KBR's Land Systems Division continues to expand, and we are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the Armoured Fighter Vehicle Branch within the Heavy Armoured SPO (HASPO).
This role provides a rare opportunity to work at the centre of Australia's heavy armoured vehicle capability, contributing to the sustainment and upgrade of platforms such as the M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank, Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle, Armoured Recovery Vehicles, and other specialist heavy vehicle fleets.
You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team under the Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) framework, providing systems engineering expertise across the capability lifecycle. This includes support to design assurance, integration of new technologies, fleet sustainment, and capability upgrades across some of the Australian Army's most complex and mission-critical platforms.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.

+ Apply systems engineering principles across the platform lifecycle, from requirements development and design assurance through to verification and validation.

This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Australia's next-generation land combat vehicle capability, working across programs such as the Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle, Abrams Main Battle Tank, Redback IFV and other critical Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) platforms.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, supporting system design, integration, and sustainment activities across highly complex vehicle systems. This includes exposure to mobility, lethality, survivability, electronic systems, and integrated logistic support.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
+ Apply systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle, from requirements development through to verification & validation.
+ Support the development and review of Technical Investigations, Engineering Support Reports and Technical Instructions for armoured vehicle systems.
+ Participate in engineering design reviews and contribute to engineering change and configuration management processes.
+ Assist in the integration of mechanical, electrical, and mission systems, including weapons, protection, and C4I sub-systems.
+ Contribute to the preparation and review of System Engineering Management Plans, Test & Evaluation strategies, and Risk Management activities.
+ Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Defence standards, certification requirements, and the Contractor Engineering Management Plan.
+ Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with Defence, industry partners and suppliers.
+ Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers where required.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Degree qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems).
+ Proven experience in systems engineering within Defence programs, ideally in the land domain.
+ Practical knowledge of requirements management, risk management, configuration management, and V&V processes.
+ Exposure to land vehicle systems (weapons, sensors, communications, survivability or mobility subsystems) highly regarded.
+ Familiarity with ASDEFCON, AEO requirements and Defence acquisition processes.
+ Current NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ A degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
+ Demonstrated experience working within Defence acquisition, ILS, or systems engineering environments.
+ Exposure to C4I integration and/or EMI testing and certification.
+ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
