# Additional Information
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.

**What does a Geotechnical Engineer in the Geotechnical team do?**
Our Geosciences team is an integrated geotechnical engineering, hydrogeological and environmental consultant to a wide range of clients working on infrastructure and developments, both for private and public entities across Australia.
Day to day tasks would involve:
+ Plan, coordinate and manage site investigations to deliver geotechnical investigative reports - including interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis and making recommendations.
+ Undertaking geotechnical analysis in areas such as slope stability, pavement designs, foundations and retaining walls
+ Contribute to the delivery of projects, ensuring work outputs are of a high technical standard
+ Assist with interpretation and analysis of data to develop and implement practical and commercial solutions
+ Managing key projects from start to finish in line with project specifications
+ To be successful for this role you'll need:
+ Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with completion of geotechnical electives and/or major as part of your university studies
