**A Day in the Life**
We have an exciting new opportunity to join Medtronic as a Senior Training Education Specialist based in Sydney and working across our dynamic and highly successful Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business.
Our Cardiac Rhythm Management Integrated Operating Unit offers devices and therapies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure. In this role, the successful individual will lead the regional "in the field" employee education and training activities supporting CRM employees including new hire training. You will play a critical role in being the education lead for product launches, as well as be accountable for development and promotion of programs and resources essential for annual re-certification and continuing professional development.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Ensure Medtronic personnel maintain a high level of technical proficiency with products, technologies, and relevant procedural training.
+ Develop, implement, and oversee a structured annual recertification program that reinforces marketing strategies and ensures the continued enhancement of technical skills.
+ Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design and execute education plans for new product launches, coordinating training initiatives for both Medtronic field staff and customers to drive successful adoption of new technologies across ANZ.
+ Active involvement in new hire training by supporting in-person training, plus field coaching, supervision, and competency assessments to ensure readiness for certification.
+ Support the customer education manager by involvement in customer events and training programs as required, to meet the educational needs of healthcare professionals.
+ Monitor and manage product training metrics, providing detailed reports and insights to the leadership team to support strategic decision-making.
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ 7 years of professional experience in electrophysiology, nursing, allied health, engineering, and/or the implantable cardiac devices.
+ Knowledge of education and training techniques; valuable to have certifications in instructional design or adult learning.

+ Demonstrated competence in Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) competencies;
+ Sound understanding of military operations across, Air, Land, Maritime, Space and Information Domains and proven understanding of Joint Operations.
+ Proven ability to work both as an individual and as a member of a high-performance team.
+ Strongly developed interpersonal skills and able to influence stakeholders at an operational level and the ability to develop solutions that meet complex customer requirements.

This role calls for an individual who is technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
The role will report into the Senior WHS Manager, AU Customer Fulfillment, and work collaboratively with other partners across all Amazon BUs and regional geographies to provide innovative solutions across our business. This role is based in the Sydney corporate office or field location.
The ideal candidate has an obsession for customers and a strong interest in building innovative solutions; must have proven analytical capabilities (including ability to deep dive, identify root causes and permanently eliminate hazards and risks); and can thrive in a fast-paced environment with exceptional communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate must have outstanding judgment, compassion, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in many areas across the company.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop, review, approve, coordinate, and lead large, strategic projects / programs within Amazon Business Units (BUs) and across different geographies.
- Build relationships and partner across many organizations to build and execute on new initiatives and roadmaps each year.
- Work and collaborate with stakeholders and partners to align on project /program goals and resources.
- Coordinate a portfolio of programs / projects from inception to delivery. These may also be global in nature.
- Define and implement metrics to measure and communicate Australian program achievements.
- Compile, manage and report on weekly project metrics and be responsible for leading many high profile meetings to align on project requirements.

A day in the life
You will be involved in the security design process across many AWS sites. Preparing a build of materials to secure funding for your projects. You will plan in advance to meet critical milestones that if missed will impact other functions of the wider project. You will execute and monitor the risks of your project closely as you work towards the handover to the operations teams. Keeping accurate records are all part of the role and form the final phase of the project.

This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The Deputy Program Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You'll Do
As a Deputy Program Manager (DPM), you will:
+ Experience working in 24x7 mission-critical environments supporting facilities construction, operations, and maintenance, and support services where continuous availability of facility infrastructure is essential and of the highest priority
+ Display strong technical, programmatic, and personal leadership skills
+ Knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
+ Professional certification such as PMP, CFM, PE, FAC-P/PM Mid-Level, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 2 certification in Program Management
+ Responsible for the execution of the SOW within the cost and on schedule to include but not limited to: Ensuring community of support during Contractor personnel change; Interfacing Contractor Officer (CO), COTR, and Chief of Facilities; Delivery of all contract requirements; Managing subcontracts and be responsible for the performance and conduct of subcontractor personnel
+ Strategic Oversight: Command the planning, resourcing, and execution across multiple programs/projects, ensuring alignment with business and product line strategies
+ Financial Stewardship: Scrutinize and sanction financial frameworks and reports, maintaining the integrity of management reserves and expenditure
+ Holistic Integration: Champion cross-functional team efforts to deliver a synchronized service that addresses every angle of the Government's requirements
+ Risk Management: Strategize and allocate funds for risk mitigation, safeguarding project outcomes
+ Communication: Communicate effectively with all customers, and maintain a transparent and proactive dialogue with the Government, ensuring clarity and prompt resolution of issues
+ Customer Service: Demonstrate strong customer service skills
+ Regulatory Adherence: Vigilantly enforce all contractual, regulatory, and compliance mandates in partnership with the contracts team
+ Possess an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV clearance
+ A minimum of 7 years of prior relevant PM and Intelligence Community (IC) experience managing a large (250+ person) multi-disciplinary workforce including tradesmen, engineers, warehousing personnel, and other base operating support staff
Preferred Qualifications
+ 7 years of experience building and sustaining high-performing integrated teams
+ 5 years of experience working with business strategy
+ 5 years of experience developing project execution plans, schedules, and budgets
+ 5 years of experience supporting the Federal and/or Intelligence Community
+ 5 years of experience with long range business plans
+ Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000)
+ Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to: project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics.
