Supporting our Australia, New Zealand and Asia channels businesses, including Universal TV, 7Bravo, Bravo New Zealand, Studio Universal, DreamWorks, Oxygen and Hayu, the Legal Intern will work with our Legal and Business Affairs team across a variety of legal, compliance and business affairs matters, in an engaging, exciting and fast-paced office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Research on key legal developments, and preparation of briefing notes for NBCU legal team.
+ Review of contracts, including program licences, research, marketing and general services agreements, and assistance with maintenance of NBCU contract database.
+ Assistance with company administration and corporate secretarial document and compliance matters.
+ Assistance with drafting of policies and training materials, and in provision of staff training sessions.
+ Assistance with rights clearance matters, preparation of crew and participant releases, administration of marketing competitions and related initiatives.
+ Ad hoc filing, administrative and general team-support responsibilities, and liaising with external customers as required.
Skills Required
+ High level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously.
+ Passion for the law, and strong interest in television and film industries.
+ Ethical and responsible. Leading others by exhibiting honesty, fairness and diligence.
+ Exceptional organisational skills and high level of attention to detail.
+ Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic Characteristics
+ Experience in the preparation of written legal advice, whether acquired on-the-job or through course work.
+ Comfortable using word processing software, including Microsoft Word.
+ This part time role requires a 9-month commitment, from February 2026 - November 2026

About the Team
You will join a dynamic global legal team working on a variety of legal issues across the entire company. You will be required to leverage your expertise, good judgment, and strong business sense to assess and mitigate legal risk - balancing contract negotiation with providing clear, pragmatic advice across a wide range of matters.
You will be challenged to look at the big picture to find innovative ways and solutions to assist the business in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. With the ability to understand not just what the law says, but also industry and enforcement trends, you'll help TWE see around corners to prepare for upcoming regulatory changes and influence how the business responds to those changes.
About the role
Reporting to a regional Head of Legal, TWE is seeking a commercially astute lawyer with experience in managing a high volume of commercial transactions. You will help TWE continue its growth and success by supporting our procurement, sales, marketing, corporate and supply teams across the ANZ region, where the majority of work will be. You will also lean in to support our EMEA team, and so experience working across borders will be helpful.
You will:
+ Draft, review, negotiate and provide advice on commercial contracts and documents for the ANZ and EMEA regions.
+ Deliver clear, effective and practical legal advice on a broad range of legal matters and to a broad range of business functions.
+ Be adept in making sensible legal risk assessments which consider practical solutions to mitigate legal risk while keeping business priorities at the forefront.
+ Effectively collaborate with regional and global colleagues to (i) provide globally aligned legal advice that appropriately balances local and global perspectives and needs; and (ii) participate in global workstreams.
+ Review and advise on a diverse range of marketing and promotional activities, partnerships and new product development and innovation initiatives.
+ Provide advice concerning ongoing compliance matters and assist with litigation and disputes as needed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Work closely with Honeywell's Operations management and sales teams to implement risk assessment and contract management policies
+ Ensure compliance with Honeywell's business practices, contract management guidelines and code of conduct

**Key Qualifications and Capabilities:**
+ Bachelor's degree in law
+ Must have a current Australian Practicing certificate
+ Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience - essential
+ Experience in providing contractual and legal advice and support within a construction, engineering or technology industry gained within private practice or an in-house environment
+ Excellent understanding of commercial and contract law

**What does a Head of Legal - ANZ do in Fiserv?**
The successful senior regional leader provides strategic legal advice on a wide range of areas including contracts, corporate governance, IP, day to day legal advisory, dispute management. You will establish trust with senior leaders, lead commercial negotiations, stay updated on industry regulations, manage disputes, develop legal documentation, and lead a successful/motivated team. You are responsible for identifying and managing risks across multi-disciplinary projects in the region.
**What you will do:**
+ Provide consultation, legal advice on strategic initiatives, projects, contracts, intellectual property matters, disputes, regulatory matters, and corporate policies
+ Establish trust with senior business unit/function leaders through effective communication and by being a trusted business partner
+ Develop understanding of contracting standards, enterprise risk thresholds, advise on risk mitigation
+ Ability to work on complex transactions in the payment/technology space
+ Coach, lead, and mentor employees
+ Staying updated on industry best practices and legislation
+ Identify and manage potential risks in projects, evaluate processes, and implement solutions independently
+ Provide day to day legal advisory to various functions/stakeholders, review and improve legal processes/standards
**What you will need to have:**
+ Hold an internationally recognized law degree with an active license to practice law
+ Minimum of 15 years of progressive hands on legal experience, including international law firm and/or multinational organization experience
+ Experience working in a large/fast paced company (technology/payment/banking)
+ Demonstrated success as a lead negotiator
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels
+ Experience managing a legal team
