What You'll DoIn the role of Logistics Coordinator, your duties will include:
+ Maintains documentation to record all issues, receipts, transfers, and disposals of property in accordance with approved property accountability procedures for USG property.
+ Ensures material and equipment are catalogued to a standard nomenclature in automated Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) to enhance tracking, reordering, and excess identification processes.
+ Conducts weekly stock reviews to ensure accuracy of inventory records and that stock items are serviceable.
+ Creates and maintains a Critical Spares Inventory of parts essential to mission activities and stock items accordingly.
Requirements:

The Logistics Specialist has direct oversight and coordination of external logistics service provider activities and performance across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for executing the logistics plan throughout the external logistics network and providing technical support, including SAP transactional activities that underpin logistics work processes.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Prioritize and execute logistics operations to meet business needs using key methodologies and technologies.

As a Ford Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient distribution of all imported vehicles from our global source assembly plants to Australian and New Zealand ports.
Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and meticulously maintaining critical systems, notably the Global Vehicle Distribution Solution (GVDS), and optimizing operational processes to guarantee the on-time delivery of vehicles throughout Australia and New Zealand. **About the Role** ** ** ** **
As a Ford Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient distribution of all imported vehicles from our global source assembly plants to Australian and New Zealand ports.
Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and meticulously maintaining critical systems, notably the Global Vehicle Distribution Solution (GVDS), and optimizing operational processes to guarantee the on-time delivery of vehicles throughout Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, you will lead various projects focused on enhancing budget efficiency and performance.
This position reports directly to the ANZ Vehicle Logistics Manager and is based in Australia at our International Market Group Product Development Centre in Broadmeadows, Melbourne. The role operates under a hybrid work arrangement, requiring four days in the office. Monthly travel to our Melbourne port and vehicle compounds (located in the Western Suburbs) is essential, with occasional interstate travel also required.
+ Track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for outbound logistics services, working closely with appointed carriers.
+ Develop and implement robust processes to monitor and control the end-to-end vehicle distribution from global source assembly plants to destination ports.
+ Identify and implement improvements to optimize budget adherence and enhance delivery performance.
+ Oversee and maintain the Global Vehicle Distribution System (GVDS) for the Australia and New Zealand markets.
+ Establish and maintain a reliable and accurate system for providing daily updates on vehicle status.
+ Develop and manage mechanisms to control inventory aging, including monitoring vehicle holds and coordinating resolutions with key stakeholders.
+ Manage transit damage claims, encompassing issuance, follow-up, and coordination of repairs for new vehicles.
+ Coordinate the resolution of mechanical issues identified in vehicles during the distribution process.
+ Address and resolve operational issues in collaboration with car carriers and yard management suppliers.
+ Coordinate daily freight movements to dealers and vehicle compounds.
+ Conduct regular safety and compound audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
+ Act as a primary liaison with internal departments (Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Marketing & Sales) and external suppliers
+ A minimum of 3 years direct experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally within the transport industry
+ Logistics qualification, Engineering degree, International Business/commerce bachelor or similar would be highly desirable but not essential
+ Proficient in advanced analytical and computer skills, including expertise in Excel, Visio, and project management software.
+ Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and convey information to both local and international colleagues.
+ Demonstrated strong project management competencies, including effective team coordination and robust problem-solving abilities.

This project will provide the Customer's facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.
Who You Are
As the Logistics/Transportation Manager you are a key leadership figure within our management team. Your role is crucial in supervising a multifaceted supply chain network that spans procurement, inventory management, material coordination, as well as the logistics of shipping and receiving. Your oversight ensures the precise execution of repair and return processes, the meticulous management of electronic waste, and the efficient conduct of transportation operations. This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The Logistics/Transportation Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You'll Do
In your pivotal role as the Logistics/Transportation Manager, you will:
+ Ensure all supply chain management functions operate within an approved material management program which involves control and accountability of materials from requirements through purchasing, storage, issue and disposal
+ Perform relocation and movement of equipment, supplies, materials, appliances, furniture, and systems in accordance with US Government and Host Nation regulations
+ Assist in the collection, packing and shipping of any digital/magnetic media in accordance with applicable security and facility regulations
+ Establish and maintain an Electrostatic Discharge Controls Program to ensure the safety of material and personnel
+ A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP, showcasing your ability to integrate technology effectively into logistics processes
+ Maintain and operate the vehicle program in accordance with all applicable US Government and Host Nation regulations
+ Steer warehouse operations to ensure timely fulfillment of all contractual obligations
+ Craft and execute strategic plans for warehousing, setting the course for long-term logistical sustainment
+ Innovate and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and efficient work environment
+ Cultivate and maintain robust partnerships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and your team, fostering a collaborative atmosphere conducive to success

+ Proven experience in warehouse operations management, managing procurement programs, asset management, and transportation areas with at least 5 years of shaping efficient, responsive services
+ A minimum of two (2) consecutive years of supervisory experience in logistics operations or transportation operations
+ Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000)
+ Familiarity with Government Property control/management
+ Familiarity with 24/7 operational environment

As a Logistics Support Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the supportability and sustainment outcomes of critical armoured vehicle platforms.
Working within the Defence Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) framework, you will undertake Support Logistics Analysis (SLA) activities that ensure platforms such as infantry fighting vehicles, main battle tanks, and associated mission systems are operationally ready throughout their life of type.
You will collaborate with engineering, project management and Defence stakeholders to ensure that logistic support solutions are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with capability requirements.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct and document Support Logistics Analysis (SLA) to inform logistics decision-making across acquisition and sustainment phases
+ Contribute to ILS documentation, ensuring compliance with Defence requirements and integration across all Support System Constituent Capabilities (SSCCs)
+ Undertake maintenance policy and level-of-repair analysis to optimise platform availability and cost-effectiveness
+ Provide input into spares forecasting, provisioning and supply chain planning for armoured fighting vehicles and associated subsystems
+ Support the development of Life Cycle Cost models and risk-based sustainment strategies
+ Liaise with Defence, OEMs and industry partners to ensure seamless integration of logistic support elements into broader project and sustainment frameworks
+ Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Sound knowledge of ILS practices within the Defence Acquisition Lifecycle
+ Practical experience with Supportability Analysis techniques (LORA, spares analysis, MTA)
+ Ability to develop and contribute to ILS deliverables (ILS Plans, ILS Concepts, ILSPs, etc.)
+ Exposure to the ASDEFCON contracting suite
