What You'll DoIn the role of Logistics Coordinator, your duties will include:
+ Maintains documentation to record all issues, receipts, transfers, and disposals of property in accordance with approved property accountability procedures for USG property.
+ Ensures material and equipment are catalogued to a standard nomenclature in automated Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) to enhance tracking, reordering, and excess identification processes.
+ Conducts weekly stock reviews to ensure accuracy of inventory records and that stock items are serviceable.
+ Creates and maintains a Critical Spares Inventory of parts essential to mission activities and stock items accordingly.

**ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE**
The Logistics Specialist has direct oversight and coordination of external logistics service provider activities and performance across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for executing the logistics plan throughout the external logistics network and providing technical support, including SAP transactional activities that underpin logistics work processes.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Prioritize and execute logistics operations to meet business needs using key methodologies and technologies.
+ Lead and coordinate routine operational and performance reviews with key logistics providers
+ Support DS&S goals across all transport and storage modes; investigate incidents and product damage, escalate appropriately, and prepare draft reports.
+ Coordinate export activities from Australia with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse teams.
+ Contribute logistics expertise to improve processes and procedures.
+ Participate in business or functional initiatives that interface with logistics operations.
**Operational Logistics**
+ Handle routine and ad-hoc logistics issues (e.g., damages, part cartons, repackaging).
+ Monitor EDI and collaborate with global teams for resolution.
+ Track On-Time Delivery metrics and liaise with logistics suppliers for follow-up actions.
+ Maintain SAP system data related to transport routes and freight accruals.
+ Record, maintain, and measure logistics KPIs as required.
**Inventory Management**
+ Monitor and maintain inventory levels in line with LSP warehouse capacity.
+ Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling and distribution of goods.
+ Ensure accurate inventory records at LSP warehouses.
+ Implement strategies to minimize inventory carrying and obsolescence costs
+ Coordinate with planning teams for timely restocking.
+ Perform Goods Receipt and Goods Issue transactions within specified timeframes.

+ Ensure sufficient transport capacity with LSP companies.

+ Optimize freight costs while ensuring service levels and delivery schedules.
**Warehouse & Carrier Relations**
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers.
+ Support Procurement Logistics team in contract negotiations and service terms.
+ Evaluate supplier and carrier performance; recommend improvements.
+ Conduct supplier performance reviews and KPI meetings in collaboration with Procurement.
**Logistics Coordination**
+ Facilitate product shipments and coordinate deliveries to customers.

**Supply Chain Improvement**

+ Manage functional e-mailbox.
+ Ensures that detailed operational procedures are kept up-to-date and aligned with the Logistics Manuals.

+ Gather and assess documentation to resolve delivery discrepancies (e.g. lost, damaged, or incorrect stock)
+ Provide transport planning coverage during team absences, including load planning and supplier coordination
+ Conduct liability investigations for transport-related damages and make recommendations based on findings
+ Manually process warehouse invoices, verify against system rates, and manage approvals for additional charges or overtime
+ Manage vendor purchase orders and invoice processing to ensure timely and accurate flow-through
+ Support 3PL warehouse inventory reconciliation activities

The OpportunityKBR is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer to assist the Systems Program Office (SPO) in developing support plans, services and contracts that deliver acquisition logistics outcomes. You'll support the transition of sustainment requirements into in-service arrangements and contribute to overall program success in line with transition planning.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage inventory and update ILS documentation in line with acquisition requirements.
+ Support compliance activities, including ACT and MILIS transactions such as codification, dues-in, and PIOS.
+ Draft logistics-related briefs, reports, and correspondence.
+ Assist with CDRL reviews, FIC inputs to CLC processes, and logistics policy clarification.
+ Provide input into systems analysis, costing, business case development and procurement activities.
Skills and Experience
+ Strong background in acquisition or sustainment logistics, ideally within Defence (Uniformed, APS, or Contractor).
+ Proficiency in ILS documentation, inventory management, and understanding of ASDEFCON and CLC frameworks.
+ Ability to manage or contribute to Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) programs and life cycle cost assessments.
+ Skilled in configuration and transition management, with excellent written and verbal communication.
