As our energy team continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Primary / Power Systems Engineer to join us in Perth. This senior role offers the chance to lead both primary and secondary system design and analysis, from Grid Interconnection Studies through to substation layout and equipment specification. You will gain extensive experience across islanded systems, BESS, onshore transmission, and more, with opportunities to act as Owner's Engineer (OE) on major projects.
**How you'll make a difference:**
+ Lead utility-scale transmission and renewable integration projects from feasibility through IFT design, covering both primary plant (substation layouts, equipment specification, busbar configurations) and power system studies (steady-state, dynamic, and grid interconnection).
+ Undertake primary system design including substation layouts, earthing and lightning protection, high-voltage equipment selection, busbar ratings, fault studies, and insulation coordination.
+ Conduct advanced grid interconnection and system planning studies, including steady-state and dynamic assessments, cable ratings using CYMCAP, and generator integration to ensure system stability.
+ Provide technical leadership and guidance on AS Standards, WEM rules, Western Power requirements, and grid connection specifications across both primary and power systems domains.
+ Perform Owner's Engineer duties, including design reviews, site inspections, grid compliance testing, and mentoring junior engineers.
+ Collaborate with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers, clients, OEMs, network operators, and contractors producing technical reports, presentations, and supporting strategic renewable and energy transition initiatives.

**What you'll be doing**
Key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
+ Plan and organize information security work within PCD.
+ Ensure interfaces are clearly defined and documented.
+ Ensure ownership and delegations of authority for IT equipment, systems and applications in PCD is clearly defined and documented.
+ Have an overview of security measures implemented and documented non-compliance to information security requirements.
+ Develop, maintain, and execute any site-specific procedures required to maintain PCD security compliance.

+ Performing site visit to offshore facility, Prelude, for remediation activities and to assure controls and procedures in place.

**What you bring**
To succeed in this role, you will have:
+ A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar certification

+ Demonstrated experience in the support/administration of IT infrastructure services and business risk management.
+ Relevant exposure to PACO, Production and Operations is an advantage.
+ Must have legal authorization to work in Australia on a full-time basis.
