Amazon is seeking for an experienced Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join the team and lead our Reliability Maintenance and Engineering Team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Horsley Park.
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is the line manager for a team of up to 10 including Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians (fitters and electricians). They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching their team. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

- Lead, support and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring site operations are maintained in a safe, standard and efficient manner.
- Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
- Support the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts by organising and directing the training program for the team.
- Manage local projects or support Australia wide projects as assigned by the Senior Regional Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience delivering leadership to a team of +10 direct reports, with an emphasis on growth and development and team member engagement.
- Experience in liaising and managing relationships between a variety of stakeholders including third-party vendors.
- Formal trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil).
- Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.

**Your Role**
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical at RAAF Base Amberley, you will perform maintenance tasks on the fleet of C27-J aircraft. You will work under the DASR 145 Maintenance regulations and assist the crew team leader in ensuring all tasks and responsibilities comply. Participating in small working groups you will aid development of future base maintenance state and capability.
