The Market Risk Senior Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers.
In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.
Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed.
Determines approach to implementing functional strategy.

Market risk pertains to potential loss due to market movements such as changes in interest rates, equity prices, credit spreads and foreign exchange rates.
Individuals monitor trading limits and are responsible for approving transactions over certain established limits.
Work with traders or trading management and recommend actions to mitigate risk.
Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the organization's risk exposure by understanding the risks and rewards of the Citi products.
Structures solutions to mitigate risks of those products.
**In this role, you're expected to:**
+ Be responsible for management of market risk across various portfolios.
+ Identify, monitor and analyze risks in the market specific portfolios.
+ Identify, examine and preserve major drivers of risk and returns, analyze trends and explain changes.
+ Analyze standard loss measures, risk return metrics, and the risk appetite framework.
+ Review scenario analysis to assess potential financial impact to Citi.
+ Economic and regulatory risk capital concepts and analyze major drivers.
+ Participate in the methodology setting for Value at Risk (VaR) and review inputs/outputs of VaR as well as Profit and Loss (P&L) back testing.
+ Consider limit exception requests, model validation requests, and permitted product requests.
+ Consider market risk approval for new model validations and well as existing model revalidations.
+ Monitor financial markets and understand its implications to market risk exposure.
+ Develop tools for on-going portfolio reviews and produce "deep dive" analysis for senior management.
+ Produce presentations (regular and ad-hoc) for senior management and regulators.
+ Monitor financial markets and understand its implications for the firm.
+ Review scenario analysis to assess potential financial impact to Citi.

+ Work collaboratively with Citi business/functional line management, risk and finance groups.
+ Represent Citi on critical regulatory matters as required. Serves as liaison with regulatory examiners, Internal Audit, and external auditors on critical Risk issues and oversees the implementation of related remediation.
+ Manage a team or multiple teams of Risk professionals. Responsible for hiring, compensation, performance appraisals, staff development, training, etc.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:**
**Qualifications:**
+ 15+ years relevant experience.
+ Subject Matter Expert in financial instruments, risk metrics and Market Risk Management.
+ Expert analytical, technical and quantitative skills.
+ Expert knowledge of treasury, market risk and liquidity management and knowledge of secured financing, securitization, and derivative products.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive.

+ Highly developed presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.

+ Programming/modeling experience.
+ Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM).

**About the role:**
In this role, you'll assist the Market Risk Team with the implementation and management of the Risk Framework and Strategy, with a specific focus on risk identification, analysis and reporting.

**What we are looking for:**

You'll have good communication and presentation skills, and have a client-centric approach. You will be highly organised, with an ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills are essential.
You'll likely have a tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance or accounting.

The Snr Associate will manage a portfolio of large corporate and financial institutions clients and are responsible for structuring, underwriting, negotiating, and monitoring financing solutions for their clients associated with syndicated loans, bridge financings, hedging, leasing, and treasury management products. The GCIB Australia portfolio consists of large multinational companies in sectors such as Airlines, Building Products, Construction & Engineering, Commercial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Transportation in addition to Financial Institutions and select Private Equity investments. Credits in the portfolio are principally underwritten on a cash flow basis with a mix of investment grade and non-investment grade transactions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Structuring, underwriting, negotiating, documenting, and managing credit risk associated with all banking products for a designated client portfolio.
+ Identifying opportunities to responsibly grow the loan portfolio.
+ Mitigating losses in deteriorating credits through amendments and restructurings.
+ Leading internal discussions and completing credit approval memorandums that summarize the merits and risks of a transaction based on due diligence findings, financial statement analysis, financial forecasting, assessments of terms and conditions, analysis of company and industry risks, and relationship profitability.
+ Negotiating legal documentation related to loans and derivatives.
+ Interfacing with internal control partners and external regulators.
+ Training and mentoring Credit Analysts and Associates.
**Required Skills**
+ 7 years' experience in commercial and / or corporate lending environment, with understanding of loans, trading & treasury products.
+ Strong credit risk analysis and conclusion-oriented analytical skills with ability to manage complex transactions.
+ Must be able to independently lead diligence efforts, make approval recommendations, negotiate loan documentation, and execute timely closings.
+ Able to soundly manage the portfolio and justify rationale for recommended transactions.
+ Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of risk, support, and business partners.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities - must be a team player.

Overview
The Mastercard Technology Regulatory Relations & Market Compliance Team is looking for a Manager (Lead) Technology Risk Analyst to be part of the controls' assurance program supporting various requirements to meet customer and regulatory obligations for the related region. The focus of the role would be around providing compliance support, monitoring, and reporting of the on-going operating effectiveness of Mastercard's internal control environment while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities
- Act as an advisory, a focal point for security and compliance-related activities and responsibilities that includes implementation of ISO 27001 standards within the organization.
- Identify and evaluate technology risks and any related potential security weaknesses through risk and control assessments across systems, application, infrastructure and processes in accordance with industry standards
- Establish and track remediation internally and externally through to resolution whilst improving design and operational effectiveness of controls.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders from Technology and Business to ensure required deliverables are accurate, complete, timely and within the level of expectations required.
- Proactive in providing suggestions in process related improvements and constantly be informed of evolving regulatory and cybersecurity related requirements
- Proficient in providing risk insights to the leadership team through risk dashboards for key initiatives, plans and audit tracking of the current processes as per management requirements.
About You:
- Experience in working with digital and technology functions ideally in a technology and/or cybersecurity related compliance role including managing complex technology / cyber security related audit / regulatory projects.
- Strong understanding of IT general controls and technology and/or cybersecurity risk management frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/27002, GDPR, data privacy related regulations,
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
- Possess one or more professional certifications (i.e. CISA or CISSPISO 27001 LEAD AUDITOR /Implementer (Desirable)
- Demonstrate proficiency in information security domains technical background in IT processes and systems related risks.
- Self driven with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in managing complex projects related to information security

+ Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

+ Ability to assess and mitigate technical, operational, and financial risks.
