As the Refrigeration Mechanic/HVAC Technician you will perform maintenance and repair to equipment associated with the HVAC infrastructure at OASIS. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance of large chillers, DX refrigeration equipment, chilled water-cooling systems, residential air conditioning systems and the air conditioning systems of its vehicle fleet. **Job Summary:**
The primary responsibility of the Steam/Gas Mechanic is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. Turbine Mechanics work closely with Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve these goals. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Dismantle, assemble, move and align, machinery and equipment using: hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipment
+ Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
+ Responsible for shipping and receiving all major pieces for T&DC, plus all shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment and supplies
+ Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches
+ Perform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment
+ Determine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices as needed to complete assigned projects
+ Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed
+ Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
+ Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishments
+ Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
**Required Qualifications & Experience** :
+ Minimum of one (1) years' experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines
+ Valid Driver's License
+ Preferred: Degree/Associate Degree in Technical Field or Gas Turbine Systems
**Desired Characteristics:**
+ Ability to disassemble and reassemble complex rotating equipment - Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore Piping, Basic Rigging/Lifting, O/H Crane Operator
+ Proficient in the following: mechanical/technical skills, oral communications skills, Critical Thinking
+ Manage time-sensitive tasks and maintain a schedule within operationally challenging environments.
+ Must work well both independently and in a team environment.

We are giving you an exciting opportunity to join the elite team based in Blacktown, NSW. We are looking for a team member to join our friendly Motor Mechanics who are proud and passionate about cars.

The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
• Repair, maintain and test motor vehicle and other internal combustion engines and related mechanical components. < r>• etecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts. < r>• D smantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts. < r>• R pairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed. < r>• P rforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations. < r>• R assembling engines and parts after being repaired. < r>• T sting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance. < r>• D agnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers. < r>• M y inspect vehicles and issue detail work required to achieve roadworthiness. < r>• M y respond to vehicle breakdown service calls. < r>
Qualifications:
• C rtificate III, IV and Diploma in Automotive with on-the-job experience. < r>
Other Skills and Requirements:
• M nimum 2 years plus experience in a similar role. < r>• S lf-starter with strong self-management skills. < r>• S rong team player with ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients. < r>• E cellent attention to detail. < r>• C mpetency in all the duties listed above.
