Job Description
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk and needs evaluations.
Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans for patients.
Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, observing and documenting effects and side effects.
Deliver therapeutic interventions such as counseling, behavioral management, and psychoeducation.
Monitor and evaluate patients’ mental state, behavior, and progress throughout treatment.
Manage psychiatric emergencies and employ de-escalation or crisis intervention techniques when needed.
Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience in a Mental Health nursing setting from one of the following countries: New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, or Singapore.At least three (3) years of total Registered Nursing experience overall.
Nursing home experience is a must
Age: Applicants must be under 40 years old at the time of application.
Registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or eligible for registration .
Experience in one or more of the following Mental Health specialties:
Inpatient / General Mental Health
Eating Disorders
Community Mental Health
Forensic Mental Health
Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Substance Abuse and Addiction Services
Willingness to live and work in regional or rural Australia.
