Our diverse Melbourne-based Building Services Team are currently looking for an experienced Team Lead to manage a group of Principal Level professional, including engineers and digital team. Your role will be split across people management and project delivery, including assisting with the design and delivery of projects across; Healthcare, Education, Aviation, Civil Infrastructure, Defence, Commercial and Arts and Culture projects across Australia.

**THE ROLE**

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Perform technical studies, analyses, investigations and consultations.

+ Design and/or develop solutions for a variety of technical problems of moderate to extreme scope and complexity across the electrical engineering discipline.

+ Perform engineering calculations in support of facility infrastructure operation and design

**Electrical Engineer for Power**
**This position is contingent upon contract award**
Amentum is seeking an **Electrical Power Engineer** to support a requirement for a US Government contract in the town of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. This position supports efforts to be performed by Amentum including facilities Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Support Services in an austere and remote location. Performance requires several unique functions given the isolated location of the Site which resides on a 4,400-acre facility which is self-sufficient and generates its own power and water. The contract supports Project Task Order (PTO) related efforts varying in complexity from minor/major system upgrades, renovations, to existing facilities, and new construction. The priority is to implement and maintain a successful O&M program to provide life, health and safety for site personnel, while ensuring continuous operations of the site infrastructure.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ US Citizen with active U.S government clearance - TS/SCI with polygraph.
+ A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, and hold Professional Engineer (PE) licensure as an Electrical Engineer
+ Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in medium and low voltage industrial power distribution.
+ Experience in design of medium and low voltage distribution.
+ Experience with high voltage distribution and frequency conversion equipment
+ Experience working in secured/restricted areas, data centers (power and cooling), performing configuration management activities, and knowledge of the Uptime Institute Tier configuration topologies
+ Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience with the concepts, design, and engineering of electrical power distribution from both power generation and public utility power to rack mounted equipment

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with water industry or industrial plant experience to join our high performing water team. The role would be focusing on LV electrical systems including schematics, equipment layout, lighting, motor control centers and communications systems, SCADA, instrumentation and PLCs.
You'll be a member of our Melbourne water team, who are delivering major capital projects and facility upgrades to water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants across Victoria with Melbourne Water and Victoria's South East Water, $1.5 billion, 10-year contract awarded to KBR
You will work with diverse teams contributing to projects across the full asset lifecycle. From strategic planning for our future cities to working with our construction partners to gain the invaluable delivery experience seeing your designs come to life. Who are you?
As a Electrical Engineer in the Water team, you will have previous experience in similar complex plant/industrial environments and have completed design and technical writing. You are driven to deliver outcomes for clients as well as contribute to team success.
You will have the following skills and experience:
+ Hold an accredited Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or related)
+ Design experience with knowledge of industry standards. strong skills in instrumentation, controls, SCADA and LV design
+ Ability to work in engineering and design modelling teams and contribute to project to scope, budget and program
+ Previous experience gained within industrial, manufacturing, mining, construction or consulting

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

+ A minimum of 3-5 years prior relevant experience in a relevant engineering. discipline within a process-driven engineering environment (e.g. Defence, medical, manufacturing, mining).
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively work autonomously and in a team.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver quality engineering solutions to budget and schedule expectations.
+ Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design.
+ Effective written and oral communication skills, fostering strong mutual understandings between diverse internal and external stakeholders.
**Desirable:**
+ Effective personal and team management skills.
+ Effective priority-management skills.
+ Strong understanding of Australian Department of Defence's operating environment and standards.

What You'll DoIn the role of Engineer, Electrical, your duties will include:
