Position: Telecommunications Network Engineer
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38
Mode: Full-time
Location: F10B 47 Ashmore Road Bundall QLD 4217
Experience required: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Techno Services Pty Ltd is a fast-growing Telecommunications and IT solutions provider headquartered in Bundall, Queensland. We deliver high-quality services in Wireless Network Build, SAED Design and Deployment, AWS & DevOps Solutions, Software and App Development, and Managed Cybersecurity Services across Australia.
As part of our ongoing growth in infrastructure delivery, we are seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer to support the design, fabrication, and deployment of wireless network infrastructure projects.
Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Plan and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of Network Elements (NEs) and transmission equipment.
● Troubleshoot network inefficiencies and optimize system performance.
● Develop and implement CS and PS Network solutions, planning, and optimization.
● Perform interface testing, cutover planning, and troubleshooting of BSC6680, RNC, and LTE systems.
● Prepare and implement licenses for eGBTS, UMTS, LTE, BSC, and RNC.
● Conduct RF Optimization, KPI analysis, Drive Testing, MW LOS Surveys, and EMF Surveys.
● Ensure network scalability by allocating capacity for LTE traffic and conducting VLAN loopback testing.
● Perform link budgeting, path profiling, interference analysis, and frequency planning using tools like Global Mapper and PathLoss 4.0.
● Work closely with Core, NSS, and BSS planning teams to support transmission needs.
● Ensure compliance with telecommunication regulations, SLAs, and industry standards.
● Supervise project teams and manage resources for timely project completion.
● Provide technical support to NOC and client operations teams.
Qualifications:
● Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
● Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications network design, implementation, and optimization.
Other Skills and Requirements:
● Expertise in RF Planning, Network Optimization, and Transmission Networks.
● Hands-on experience with Ericsson RBS, Huawei U2000, and Mini Link Craft 21 Q1.
● Strong knowledge of network traffic patterns, capacity allocation, and SLA management.
● Familiarity with BOQ preparation, site verification, and rollout planning.
● Ability to manage workforce mobilization and project scheduling.
● Strong troubleshooting skills in network performance, link failures, and service disruptions.
● Experience with regulatory compliance for telecom network operations.
