You'll form part of a highly skilled team performing third-level application and system support for the Defence environment as part of the Centralised Processing (CP) program. This position works in a large and complex environment, with the responsibility to manage Citrix solutions and support project work across a broad spectrum of technologies.
The team works an on-call roster where they are available for early/late starts rosters to cover 7 am - 7 pm weekdays.
**Your New Role and Responsibilities**
The Citrix System Administrator performs various activities that involve standard procedures forCitrix Systems requiring familiarity and expertise with a broad field of Systems Engineering and knowledge. Responsibilities include
+ **Monitor Citrix Environment Health:** Utilise tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, ControlUp, SolarWinds, or PRTG to track system performance, including CPU, memory, disk usage, and session statistics.
+ **Troubleshoot Citrix Issues:** Diagnose and resolve user login problems, session slowness, and application crashes by analysing system logs and alerts.
+ **Optimise Performance:** Fine-tune Citrix policies, load balancing, and resource allocation; recommend infrastructure or configuration improvements to enhance system efficiency.
+ **Support Capacity Planning:** Monitor usage trends to forecast resource needs and assist in scaling the Citrix environment to meet growing demand.
+ **Ensure Security and Compliance:** Maintain secure access to virtual desktops and applications and monitor for unauthorized access or suspicious activity.

+ Solid experience in complex Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops (CVAD) environments as a System Administrator/Engineer.
+ Proficient experience with administering, configuring and monitoring complex multi-domain Citrix environments over a wide area network.
+ Professional experience with operational support, complimented with technical project involvement in this area.
+ Professional experience in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new Citrix based initiatives (Version Upgrades, Third-Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems).

+ Provides the technical operations for BSC's complex IT server and communication solutions that comply with Raytheon and Defence technical standards and security policies.
+ Manages system accounts, permissions and directory operations and ensure service delivery staff have the necessary up-to-date information for account administration activities.

+ Provides the technical operations for BSC's complex IT server and communication solutions that comply with Raytheon and Defence technical standards and security policies.

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

+ Demonstrated experience in a Systems Administration 2nd / 3rd Level support role (UNIX, Linux and Microsoft).
+ Experience in monitoring a complex IT environment.
+ Experience in diagnosing networking fault.
+ Preferably hold a number of relevant industry qualifications such as:
+ DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certifications.
+ Microsoft Certified System Associate (MSCA).

**Job Description:**
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an IT Engineer with Microsoft Enterprise Systems Administrator experience to join our team in support of a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. Primary responsibilities include providing Tier 2 support of maintaining multiple large Enterprise environment that spans CONUS and OCONUS boundaries. The supporting infrastructure includes multiple Microsoft based networks spanning multiple security enclaves within a hybrid (Windows & RHEL) environments.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
+ System Administrative duties to include management of Windows and Linux workstations on EVDI and physical
+ Troubleshooting application functionality, crash and performance
+ Investigate user performance and work with external teams to improve user experience
+ Assist customers with Tier2 incident resolution for Linux and windows applications.
+ Provide remote end user desktop support
+ Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions. Responds to escalated service desk/team requests.
+ Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals; work well within small and large team environments.
+ Participates in special projects as required.
+ Willingness to provide initial triage, response, and notifications for incidents
Required/Desired Skills:
Candidates should have 4-7 years related experience and knowledge/understanding of:
+ Active Directory Administration
+ DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP
+ Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016,
+ Application Troubleshooting such as Outlook, Excel, Word, JAVA, Internet Explorer
+ Linux Operating system
+ Understanding of Service Now, NETS or other ticketing process
+ ITIL v3 or higher
The following knowledge/skill set is not required but is a plus
+ Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
+ PowerShell
+ Virtualization Environments (VMware, Citrix)
+ Profile management utilizing the VMware User Experience Management (UEM) toolset
+ Microsoft Exchange
+ Telephone/Video support
+ Networking
+ Familiarity with site specific customer and mission

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
