We believe our group therapy would rival any in Australia, with 120 participants aged 3 years to 20 years engaging in our groups every week. This is a fun and in vivo opportunity to assist the participant to learn and develop skills in a neuroaffirming way.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provision of psychological counselling, completion of associated paperwork such as goal setting, assessment writing, clinical notes
  • Access to a unique work environment designed to assist our therapists make an impact in their therapy. NO TRAVEL!
  • You will manage your caseload. The work will be independent however as we are a multidisciplinary team there are opportunities to seek support with developing plans to meet the clients’ goals.
  • Administration and reception support is supplied.
  • 5 days additional leave for Christmas shutdown period
  • Professional development allowance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Member of AHPRA and Current Medicare Provider Number (or eligible or PROV registration)

Our therapists have the opportunity to work across our different clinics in the Eastern Suburbs, as well as to provide mobile therapy services.

Role and Responsibility

  • Apply a high level of professional judgment and knowledge to provide a wide range of speech and language supports to clients of all ages with a variety of needs
  • Assess the communication and/or mealtime management abilities of the client utilising a range of assessment techniques and tools
  • Design intervention plans that are holistic, client-centred and outcome-driven
  • Provide support to and assisting clients, carers, and families with the implementation of intervention plans and programs
  • Develop care plans and writing comprehensive reports based on advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments, and implementation of appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs
  • Liaise with other health professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the client

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
