Amazon is seeking for Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our Fulfillment Centre (FC) in Horsley Park, Sydney.
The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
This is a full-time night shift role (10-hour shifts x 4 days).
Please note that the current shift pattern will be Monday - Thursday (10:00am - 8:00pm) then transition into a full-time night shift role.

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.

A day in the life
Our Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You'll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to make sure it's working safely. As a Technician, you'll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You'll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.
Working alongside senior colleagues, you'll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.
About the team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network.
Basic Qualifications
- Formal Trade Qualification: served a full apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate III Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical formally recognised in Australia.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with sortation machines.
- Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.

Our technical services division is seeking to expand our capability with the view of providing our clients and account teams with high quality general maintenance services that support our on-site facilities teams by completing maintenance and repair tasks across multiple client accounts.
**Here's a snapshot of your day as a Maintenance Technician:**
This role will perform general maintenance and corrective repair of assets and building systems across key client sites across the Sydney CBD. Leveraging our site facilities managers and staff to obtain access, adhere to client site induction and safety processes while completing works in accordance with job specific requirements.
+ Completes detailed hand over from Late Shift Technician at Start of Shift.
+ Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required
+ Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
+ Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
+ Maintains lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
+ Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ Completes HSE reports in a timely and consistent manner
+ Participates in and completes all CBRE training and course material within assigned deadlines.
+ Completes detailed hand over to Early Shift Technician at End of Shift.
**Skills and experience:**
+ Repairs and Maintenance experience within commercial buildings
+ Experience with testing and Inspection of assets and systems
+ Familiar with Critical Spaces and Plant rooms,
+ Basic HVAC/mechanical knowledge.
+ Flexible and willing to take on other tasks where necessary to support overall business outcomes
+ Relevant and valid OH&S cards 
+ Suitable Trade qualifications or experience is desired but not essential
+ Valid Driver's License
