About the Role
Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for education, mentorship, and clinical excellence? An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join a well-established residential aged care facility near Toowoomba, QLD.
As Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in guiding and supporting clinical staff through effective education and development programs. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring high-quality care outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for staff, including graduate nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and AINs.
Provide on-the-floor coaching, mentoring, and support to build staff competence and confidence.
Conduct competency assessments and contribute to clinical skills development across all shifts.
Support new staff onboarding and orientation processes.
Collaborate with the leadership team to identify training needs and align educational initiatives with organisational goals.
Promote evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate education records and contribute to compliance with accreditation standards.
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting.
Previous experience in a nurse educator or clinical support role is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of aged care standards, clinical governance, and best practice principles.
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire others in a team-focused environment.
Passionate about developing others and enhancing the quality of care.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a confident and experienced Nurse Educator to lead clinical education and training across residential and community-based support services for individuals living with spinal cord injuries and complex disabilities.
This is a strategic and autonomous role with high visibility across the organisation. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering evidence-based training programs, supporting clinical capability, and mentoring both Registered Nurses and Personal Support Workers. You'll also play a key role in clinical governance, onboarding, compliance, and the rollout of a national accredited training program.
This role is ideal for a seasoned clinical leader who thrives on developing others, driving quality care outcomes, and contributing meaningfully to client wellbeing and service excellence.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive clinical experience in disability, spinal cord injury, community care, or rehabilitation
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Proven background in clinical education, adult learning, or capability building
- In-depth knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and AHPRA Code of Conduct
- Experience supporting clinical audits, quality improvement, or governance initiatives
- Excellent mentoring, communication, and leadership skills
- Confidence working autonomously across diverse care environments
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Sydney metro area
- Ability to meet employment screening requirements including NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, and Police Check
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Education, Adult Learning, or Leadership
- Experience developing digital training content or delivering education via LMS
- Knowledge of accreditation processes (e.g., NDIS, ACIS)
- Membership in relevant professional networks or associations
