About the role
Due to growth in the department, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our Medical Oncology Clinical Trial Unit, on a 12-month, Full-Time contract.
The Clinical Trial Coordinator will work with Medical Oncologists in support of cancer clinical trials and will assist with research activities of the Medical Oncology Department, including the evaluation and recruitment of eligible participants to clinical trials, research studies, implementing and monitoring study protocols and documentation associated with the studies/trials.

As a Clinical Trials Coordinator, you will have the following experience, at minimum:
A degree in health science or nursing.
Highly developed project planning, coordination, organisation and time management skills.
Proven ability to identify problems, make recommendations and implement appropriate solutions in the research environment.
Strong communication and organisation skills.
High level interpersonal skills and proven ability to work strategically with key stakeholders in a research environment.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and consultation skills.
High level computing skills, including databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, work processing and spreadsheets.
Desirable criteria:
Previous experience in sponsored clinical trials.
Detailed knowledge of clinical research practices, ethical obligations, ICH and Good Clinical Practice.
Ability and willingness to travel in order to attend conferences and investigator meetings.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high work standards with minimum supervision and an ability to ensure other team members work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures relevant to clinical trial conduct.
Flexibility in work hours (as required).

+ Fluent in English; proficiency in Māori or other regional languages is a plus.
+ Eligibility to work across Australia and/or New Zealand; willingness for frequent regional travel.
+ Current driver's license.
