In this role you will perform crucial, high value and comprehensive cybersecurity services to support and protect our personnel and systems in the Australian Defence Force. The shift cycle is over 12-hour blocks, when cycling off shift you will enjoy 4 or 5 days off before starting 4 or 5 on cycle with combination of days then nights
You will be an integral member of the Managed Detection and Response shift team, responsibilities including monitoring a number of networks for anomalies, events and alerts and performing basic triage. Job Description
We’re seeking a Cyber Security and Business Operations Analyst to join our IT team in a permanent, full-time capacity, based at our Campbellfield office and reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer. This role combines cyber security operations with business operations analysis, ensuring compliance with industry standards while driving cost efficiencies across the business.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Investigate and respond to cyber security threats in partnership with our Security Operations Centre and external providers. Help manage and extend our cyber security platform. Support and document compliance activities for ISO 27001 and Essential 8. Lead risk assessments and control reviews, ensuring accurate maintenance of risk registers and continuous improvement of security measures. Analyse organisational spend and software licence usage to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency. Engage with vendors to optimise contracts and eliminate redundant services, delivering measurable value to the business.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in cyber security operations, with a strong track record in threat investigation and response. At least 2 years’ experience in business & data analysis, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. A solid understanding of ISO 27001 and Essential 8 compliance frameworks, including audit and documentation processes. Expertise in spend analysis, software licensing optimisation, and vendor management, driving measurable cost efficiencies. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar platforms. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter and technical expert for Fixed Income instruments, identifying and resolving complex operational issues across bonds, money markets, and related derivatives.
- Analyse cash flows, , transaction activity, and portfolio holdings data for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and proactively propose solutions tailored to Fixed Income workflows.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned, including pricing validation and benchmark alignment.
- Engage and collaborate with internal partners, including compliance, risk management, and IT teams, to provide comprehensive support for Fixed Income portfolios.
- Support the setup and maintenance of Fixed Income security master data (e.g., coupon type, day count, maturity, call/put schedules, pricing, transaction adjustments).
- Document procedures across all Fixed Income product types and leverage operational knowledge to aid in the production of gold-copy data.
- Maintain communication with internal and external partners to resolve reconciliation issues and oversee research and implementation of complex process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Min. 3 years of experience in investment operations, data strategy, or trading support, preferably with exposure to Fixed Income products.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a control-focused mindset.
- Interest in Financial markets, instruments, and operational processes.
- Willingness to learn systems and tools (e.g., Excel, Python OMS/IBOR platforms, pricing systems).
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Your opportunity
The Investment Operations Senior Analyst, plays a critical role in the team, and will pivot between BAU functions within the team, and focusing on broader project work, which either impacts the Investment Operations team, or is being driven by the Investment Operations team.
Operations Control
+ Supporting investment teams post trade execution
+ Oversight of trade matching and settlement with custodians & counterparties
+ Oversight of IBOR position keeping, cash & stock reconciliations
+ Oversight of Asset Servicing and Market Obligations
+ Management of daily ASIC OTC Regulatory Reporting obligations
+ Cashflow Management & Reporting for Mandate Clients
Capital Markets Operations
+ Daily ETF basket generation and dissemination
+ Order Management, Market Surveillance, Exchange governance & reporting
+ Service Provider Oversight
Data Management
+ Regional resource to meet the needs of local data requirements

Projects
+ Participate in projects/initiatives, representing the Investment Operations team and functions
+ Working closely with both local and global peers, to ensure BAU is not compromised.
+ Represent Investment Operations for onboarding of new product and client activity
+ Lead smaller, more localized projects for the Operations team, seeking and driving operational efficiencies
