**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Review and understand Google's Network Architecture Standards. Produce plans and designs to meet all network infrastructure and capacity plans for Google's global production network in line with established standards.
+ Design solutions and create project plans that identify resource needs. Communicate with internal business partners to collect drivers and deadlines.
+ Incorporate New Product Introduction (NPI) solutions into plans and designs. Ensure plan and design toolsets and business processes are ready for intaking NPIs.
+ Contribute to the automation roadmap of team tasks, reducing cycle time and improving quality and consistency.
+ Assist in setting up and maintaining practices and policies in network designs and plans, and establishing business practices that improve performance, reliability, and reduce risk.

**Responsibilities**
+ In conjunction with Solar Engineering Manager, works with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate technical requirements and specifications while ensuring all project deliverables are met on schedule.
+ Ensures project administration correspondence and compliance with documentation requirements relevant to construction projects.
+ Understands design and procurement schedules and how they align with construction schedules and project requirements.
+ Reviews Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation to understand and adhere to key design and engineering requirements.
+ Manages and develops conceptual designs in AutoCAD (or equivalent), preliminary engineering analyses, and performance evaluations providing oversight to Junior Design Engineers to meet client deliverables, standards, codes, and specifications.
+ Manages the development and accuracy of pursuit performance metrics, inclusive of a PVsyst Report.
+ Reviews design documents, shop drawings, datasheets, and other applicable technical information.

+ Reviews detailed engineering drawings (civil, electrical, structural or others) to ensure compliance with applicable project requirements, construction practicality and efficiency, codes, and standards.
+ Reviews contract documents and specifications to identify overall project requirements and understand impacts and implications to the construction engineering design.
+ Calculates energy losses for designs and review and implement strategies to optimize the overall performance of the system.
+ Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
**Qualifications**
+ Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline (e.g., electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, project management, or etc.).
+ 2+ years of engineering experience. Preference will be given to those with experience working in design and engineering roles within utility-scale solar project construction.
+ Working with contract and subcontracts with an ability to understand contractual obligations and responsibilities related to project scope.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, high level of detail orientation and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting and tight deadlines.
+ Working knowledge of various computer software programs, including AutoCAD and Excel specifically.
+ Ability to learn new software programs and apply understanding to perform technical analyses and problem-solve.
+ Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications.
+ Desire to work in a design function, with an interest in utility scale solar construction, engineering, and design.
+ Effective verbal and written communications skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

As an experienced Senior or Principal Structures Design Engineer, you will have experience working with in a Through Life Support organisation and have:
+ Engineering Degree Qualifications, including Chartered credentials
+ Experience in working with large geographically disbursed teams
+ Excellent communication and relationship management skills
+ Experience working with CFR 14 PT 25 / EASA CS PT 25 type certified aircraft
+ Experience working within Defence Aviation programs
+ Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

The Senior Structures Design Engineer will provide safety related design, analysis and other technical support services, in accordance with the Engineering Management System and applicable regulatory requirements. This includes:
+ Performance of activities as part of the DASR Part 21J military design organisation
+ Supporting the Continued Airworthiness (CA) services team within the Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) organisation.
+ Processing reported aircraft configuration or condition data (e.g. defects, unserviceability, incomplete maintenance, Airworthiness Directives, etc.) to provide hazard risk advice in a timely manner, to support safe aircraft operations.
+ Mentoring staff and helping to establish the standardisation of process and analysis methods
+ Effective engagement with the broader NGA Engineering and Technical Services Community, as well as the customer organisations including the Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO), 35 Squadron, Air Mobility Group (AMG) and the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA).
**About you**
As an experienced Structures Design Engineer, you will have experience working with in a Through Life Support organisation and have:
+ Engineering Degree Qualifications
+ Experience in working with large geographically disbursed teams
+ Excellent communication and relationship management skills
+ Experience working with CFR 14 PT 25 / EASA CS PT 25 type certified aircraft
+ Experience working within Defence Aviation programs
+ Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
+ Strong understanding of entire product lifecycle and engineering best practices including delivery of ContinuedAirworthiness (CA) service

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you'll work with engineers and managers company-wide to develop solutions for the physical layer. Your responsibilities will include developing pathway, space, and cabling designs, along with specifications for construction and permitting. Additionally, you'll engage with industry suppliers and manufacturers to define product requirements and explore emerging technologies.
- Ensure timely delivery of scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications.
- Review and approve of ICT pathway, cabling and equipment submittals.
- Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.
- Support new technology and design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time.
- Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS' Data Centers.
- Have fun and offer creative, out of the box solutions.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design experience in Mission Critical Environments
- 5+years of developing design documentation (plans, specifications, etc.) for construction and/or permitting.
- 5+ years of working experience with fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products, technologies, and standards
- Ability to prioritize & consistently deliver results in complex, fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and maintain high quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI RCDD Certification or internationally recognized equivalent (e.g. CDCDP, DCDC, etc.)
- Professional Engineering (PE) Electrical License
- Experience in AutoCAD or other Computer Aided Design Tools
- Ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality, reliability, or maintainability
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe features, technical designs, and strategy
