Job Details:

• $72.55 per hour base rate plus penalties
• Deliver evidence-based MCH services to families with children aged 0–6.
• Promote optimal health, wellbeing, development, safety, and learning outcomes.
• Work flexibly across the Universal and Enhanced MCH Programs.
• Identify and support families experiencing vulnerability, linking them with early intervention and support services.
• Partner with local maternity, neonatal and early years providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Be registered with AHPRA as both a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
• Hold a Postgraduate qualification in Maternal and Child Health from La Trobe, RMIT or equivalent (essential for VIC MCH eligibility).
• Have experience or a strong interest in Enhanced MCH services, supporting vulnerable families.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, assessment and referral skills.
• Hold a current Working with Children Check, Driver’s License, and be up to date with immunisation requirements.

• Up to $94.19 per hour base rate

• Tracking physical, emotional, and cognitive development milestones to ensure children are growing and progressing as expected
• Performing routine health screenings and assessing children for any health concerns or developmental delays
• Administering immunisations to children
• The provision of guidance and education to parents and caregivers on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and child development
• Working closely with children and families who have chronic health conditions, provide education, support, and help manage the condition to promote optimal health and well-being

• Current AHPRA registration, no restrictions
• Post graduate qualifications in Child Health Nursing
• At least 12 months recent Child Health Nursing experience

• AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Relevant qualification and/or experience in Child Health Nursing
• Current REC
• Recongised immunisation provider certificate

• Current maternity emergency management or midwifery upskill or commitment to completing this within your contract
• Current BLS
• Must be ISTAT competent, certified and have access number

• Base Salary: Up to $110,935.00 per annum
• Allowances: District allowance, housing allowance, leave loading of up to 17.5%, electricity allowance, and annual airfares all provided

• Provide high-quality clinical care, including monitoring child development, identifying delays, and referring to medical and allied health services as needed.
• Implement programs aimed at improving early childhood health outcomes, ensuring children are healthy, ready to start school, and able to thrive.
• Collaborate with the Midwife to integrate maternal and child health services and family support programs through a place-based approach.
• Provide leadership in clinical service delivery, including mentoring and supporting other team members.
• Engage in community outreach to promote cooperative working relationships with other health service providers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and data, contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

• Have full AHPRA registration with no restrictions
• Demonstrated high level of clinical skills relevant to child health
• Strong understanding of the health challenges and barriers faced by Aboriginal women and children
• Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).

• Up to $81.20 per hour base rate plus overtime etc on top of this
