Job Description
Work with Plant Engineering Supervisor and team to ensure 100% up time of plant and equipment within the facility
Accountabilities
* Preventative and breakdown maintenance of both facility and equipment
* To ensure issues are identified and addressed as effectively and efficiently as possible
* To fix plant and equipment where required to keep equipment operational
* General fabrication, including welding
* General machining to manufacture components
* To work as a team to achieve the best outcome for the business
* Other duties as required and directed by supervisor or manager

* Ability to liaise with all levels of staff and contractors
* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
* Ability to manage own time, set priorities in conjunction with Supervisor / Manager, plan and organise work to meet set priorities
* Ability to meet set priorities despite conflicting pressures and competing demands

Must Haves
* General machine (lathe/Milling machine operations)
* General welding/fabrication skills (Stick/mig/tig)
* General Printing/die cutting/ sheeting machine experience if possible
* Flexible skills to work on any machines we have on site
* General hydraulic /pneumatics experience, preferably someone with the post trade certificate 4 in fluid power.
* Qualified Mechanical fitter/engineering trade certificate 3.
Competencies and Skills
* 5+ years in a similar role
* Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter or equivalent
* Advanced fault finding and trouble shooting skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
* Ability to manage own time, set priorities in conjunction with Supervisor / Manager, plan and organise work to meet set priorities

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventative and unplanned maintenance on conveyor systems, including mechanical components like motors, gearboxes, chains, belts, bearings, shafts, rollers and sprockets.
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) if required and sensors.
+ Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, perform repairs, and replace worn or damaged parts to prevent system failures.
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose and resolve faults.
+ Collaborate with other technicians and operators, using computerized management systems to track work orders and parts.
+ Follow safety protocols, maintain clean work environments, and participate actively in health and safety programs.
+ Perform related tasks such as equipment cleaning, rigging, hoisting, and calibration.
**The Ideal Candidate**
+ CERT III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) (Or equivalent)
+ Construction Induction (White Card) (CPCCWHS1001)
+ Valid Driver's Licence
+ 4 years' experience within manufacturing or facilities management is highly desirable
+ Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting is essential but not required.

+ Enter & work in a confined space (RIIWHS202D)
+ Work safely at heights (RIIWHS204D)
+ Supervise work in confined spaces (RIIWHS401D)
+ Forklift licence (LF - High Risk Licence)

+ Elevated Work Platform Licence (SL - Scissor Lift & BL - Boom Lift) (EWP Yellow Card)

Have MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and Fitting AQF Certificate III (with at least two years of on-the-job training) or an AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) as a Fitter or Mechanic with fitter experience < r>Tasks include:
• Fit ing fabricated parts into products and assembling parts and subassemblies to produce finished products. < r>• E sure all tasks are carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures and that components or assemblies comply with quality assurance standards. < r>• A just setting guides, stops and other controls during production to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. < r>• F llowing procedures and interpret specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings. < r>• C ecking fabricated and assembled parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using a variety of measuring and testing Instruments. < r>• C nsistently produce components or assemblies to the required quality standard and within the designated cycle time. < r>• N tify supervision of Safety, Component or Equipment issues in a timely manner and undertake/or assist with the required mechanical remedial repair. < r>• C rry out daily pre-start checks on machine and material handling equipment. < r>• S ek to learn new tasks and become multi-skilled. < r>• A sist with the repair and maintenance of production machinery. < r>• C ntribute to improvement activities through sharing of ideas and teamwork.
