Your part in The Wesley Hospital team
We are searching for experienced hospital-based Security and Emergency Response team members for The Wesley Hospital, you will be responsible for providing a secure environment for staff, visitors and patients.
A previous background in a similar type of workplace is essential, holding a current Queensland Class 1 Security Provider Licence with endorsements in Security Officer Unarmed, Crowd Control and Monitoring.

We are currently searching for Security Officers to join our supportive 25-person team, reporting to our Operations Manager (Adnan) and support our client by ensuring we provide perimeter security, front-of-house security, and security escorts. We are responsible for security management of the entry and exit of the site for patients, staff, visitors, and Contracted Service Providers. In the role you will:
- Use Security Management Systems - monitor CCTV, alarm systems, two-way radio, and our duress system.
- Screening - screen people through an x-ray machine, with a hand wand, and metal detectors, to ensure that no unauthorised items are taken into the facility.
- Control room duties - monitoring a large volume of cameras, which includes general and sally port access control.
- Sally port searching duties - check all vehicles thoroughly and register each vehicle upon entry and exit.
- Facilitating patient admissions - take photos of new arrivals and biometrically register them in our system.
- Providing security escorts in company vehicles - driving patients to the hospital when needed, with the support of nurses.
What we're looking for

**Role Title:** DISP Security Officer / Manager
**Role Description:**
As a Security Officer within Amentum you may design and implement preventive security standards, procedures and programs. Supports and conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal and customer requirements, as well as company policies. You will also coordinate and administer security clearances and other security policies in accordance with appropriate agencies. Maintains relationships with law enforcement and other government agencies at appropriate levels. May be designated as point of contact to direct a crisis management team or teams during an emergency.
As Amentum Australia is a DISP company you will be specifically responsible for:
+ the development and application of security policies and plans for Amentum Australia;
+ ensuring sensitive and classified materials entrusted to the Amentum Australia are protected in line with DSPF requirements at all times;
+ ensuring and facilitating Defence mandated security education and training courses for Amentum Australia personnel engaged in Defence work;
+ implementing arrangements and training for insider threat identification, reporting and management;
+ reporting security and fraud incidents, and contact reports, in accordance with Control 77.1 - Security Incidents and Investigations;
+ maintaining a Designated Security Assessed Position list;
+ sponsoring and managing all Personnel Security Clearances issued under the authority of Amentum Australia's DISP membership in accordance with the DSPF Control 40.1 - Personnel Security Clearances;
+ As Security impacts International Trade Controls you will also assist in the management of all Amentum Australia's export controls licenses, permit and approvals, including SAMS.
**Essential Requirements:**
+ Australian Citizen
+ Australian Security Clearance NV1 (active or reinstatable)
+ Experience as a Government / Defence / Defence Industry Security Officer (Governance, Physical and Personnel)
+ Desirable Requirements:
+ Knowledge of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework
+ Experience with International Trade Controls (Australian, US and/or UK)
+ Australian Security Clearance NV2 (active or reinstatable)
**Required Security Clearance Level:**
Initial Australian Security Clearance NV1
