**Job Description**
As our energy continues to strengthen, we have an opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our Energy Team. In this role, you will be working on our extensive Grid Interconnection Studies whilst gaining diverse experience across Islanded Systems, diverse power system studies (BESS, Onshore transmission) and you will gain opportunities to progress into Owner's Engineer (OE) roles.
**How you'll make a difference**
+ Be involved in projects from feasibility through to concept and detailed design, including engineering for the integration of solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, and performing cable rating studies using CYMCAP.
+ Apply in-depth knowledge of AS Standards, National Electricity Rules, NSP standards, and relevant technical regulations in the design, installation, and grid compliance of electrical infrastructure.
+ Conduct grid interconnection and system planning studies for utility-scale renewables, storage, hybrid systems, and large industrial loads, while delivering concept designs and grid due diligence for new connections.
+ Perform Owner's Engineer duties such as design reviews and site inspections, support grid compliance testing, and collaborate closely with stakeholders including clients, OEMs, NSPs, and contractors.
+ Contribute to major multidisciplinary renewable projects with strong teamwork, technical report writing, and presentation skills, while supporting strategic growth in ESG, sustainability, and energy transition initiatives.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Power Systems Engineering, with (ideally) over 3 years of industry experience in power systems, ideally in an Engineering Design Consultancy, OEM, or Utility Network Planning team.
+ Proficiency in power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Dig Silent Power Factory, and ETAP, with a strong ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
+ Basic understanding of the grid connection process, performance standards for utility-scale generators and loads, as well as NER s5.2, s5.3, and AEMO's Power Systems Modelling guidelines.
+ Experience in preparing technical design documentation, with a strong grasp of control and protection principles for high-voltage equipment, transmission lines, and generators.

+ Key Responsibilities:
+ Work with the Principle Project Manager or Project Manager through close coordination for Transmission and Power System software development and implementations projects, scope management, schedule, risk management, and quality management.
+ Accountable for successful delivery of technical scope items to meet the schedule, cost and quality commitments.
+ Project Execution control: Build effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) .
+ Manage project teams to drive project deliverables
+ Communicate effectively with Principle Project Manager, Architects, Customer, Project teams (APAC and global) and commercial team
+ Utilize GEV Product knowledge and expertise to drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement, change management (costs base reduction, lead time reduction, productivity improvement, quality improvement, etc)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Support the sales organisation and facilitate processes to deliver the sale and financial or inventory allocation for the sale.
+ Respond both to incoming electronic customer enquiries (e.g. emails, forms) and to customer calls, and escalate as needed.

Overview SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Canberra, Australia. The customer based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enables our customer to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies. Essential Job Duties As a Systems Engineer at SOSi, you will be a key component to a team responsible for engineering Command and Control IT solutions in support of USINDOPACOM, related component commands, and relevant operational objectives. You will assist and lead in the development of systems to ensure that our enterprise infrastructure and private cloud platform, is healthy and manageable. The selected candidate for this position should be well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations, to include Government Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) mandates. The candidate should have foundational knowledge of Data Centric Security Principals, technologies and their implementations. The position is expected to regularly interact with senior DoD personnel, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to prepare and deliver executive-level briefings/IPRs to interested parties as required. Assess, design, and roadmap development for the implementation or integration of ZTA solutions. Assess, design, and roadmap development for the implementation or integration of Data Centric Security solutions. Contribute, provide technical recommendations, and attend briefings or information sharing forums, with INDOPACOM and the leadership, in support of ZTA initiatives and new capabilities. Interact with vendors, other agencies, and Coalition Partners on behalf of the program. Lead complex technical projects including upgrades, system integrations, and other installations in support of existing Enterprise capabilities. Provide mentorship for Systems Operations personnel in administration principles and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned. Reviews work efforts/implementations and contributes to analysis, After-Action-Reports (AAR). Regularly collects and summarizes pertinent network-related accomplishments, issues, and concerns. Completes activity reports in accordance with contract requirements. Ensures compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components. Participates in related solution technologies and special projects, as required. Interface with team leads and team members to collect, develop, document, and submit status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR). Minimum Requirements An Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility and US Passport. Bachelors degree in IT, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering or similar and 5+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience in enterprise IT systems engineering and operations involving complex classified DoD environments and mandatory security controls (e.g., STIGs). 5+ years implementation and support in server administration. Extensive experience with Microsoft or Linux enterprise services portfolio (Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/BIND, DHCP, SQL, etc). Prior experience in implementing and supporting DoD secure systems environments. DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) Server Administration (Microsoft or Linux+) certification at hire. Obtain Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) within 6 months. Experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (Nutanix preferred) Experience with NSA CSfC requirements including Multi-Site Connectivity Capability Package (MSCCP) and Mobile Access Capability Package (MACP). Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and/or US BICES Trusted Network Environment (TNE) Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist.
