Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Physicians function as an essential member of the health care team in the provision of comprehensive, multidisciplinary, collaborative primary health care services to the Canadian Armed Forces members. These services include primary care, minor trauma care, health promotion, prevention of diseases and injuries, rehabilitation, and support services.

Responsibilities
  • Performing comprehensive health assessments and synthesizing data from multiple sources to make a diagnosis of a disease or disorder.
  • Initiating and managing the care of patients with a disease or disorder within his/her scope of practice and/or monitoring the ongoing therapy of patients with chronic stable illnesses by providing effective pharmacological, complementary, or counseling interventions
  • Implementing strategies to promote health and prevent illness with individuals.
  • Performing periodic health examinations and determining fitness of patients when those patients are faced with acute or chronic illness or disease.
  • Making appropriate medical employment limitation recommendations
  • Practicing as a member of an interdisciplinary team and consulting with members of other health professions as appropriate in order to ensure the health care needs of the patient are met.
Qualifications
  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
  • Certification in Family Medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
  • Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C Certification
Additional Requirements
  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
  • CF Basic Aviation and Dive Medicine Certification is considered an asset but not mandatory.

Compensation:

$180-$205 per hour.

About the role

  • Helping young people explore career options and alternative education pathways
  • Providing vocational guidance and mentoring tailored to each young person’s strengths and goals
  • Attending morning intake meetings to identify young people who could benefit from vocational and education support
  • Setting up appointments and managing your own caseload of young people
  • Facilitating group workshops, vocational programs, and drop-in sessions
  • Working alongside the Community Development Coordinator to ensure the program is reaching the young people who need it most
  • Receiving professional and operational supervision from the Team Leader

About You


  • Background in youth work, education, employment services, social work, or similar, with demonstrated experience supporting young people in vocational pathways
  • Strong communicator who can build trust and rapport with young people
  • Adaptable, flexible, and a quick learner, ready to help young people navigate their next steps in work, study, and life
  • Passionate about helping young people gain confidence in employment, education, and life skills
  • Understanding of the challenges young people face, particularly in relation to mental health and wellbeing

headspace Mount Druitt is looking for highly motivated Private Practitioners for an immediate start to provide Medicare funded clinical services to young people that are evidence based, high quality and demonstrate a holistic approach to client management. Our Private Practitioners complete work in assessment, treatment planning, psychological treatment and are highly valued members of our team.


headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation. Its mission is to deliver improvements in the mental health, social well-being and economic participation of young Australians aged 12-25 years. To this end, headspace aims to be the focal point for youth mental health issues across the country.


Essential Criteria:


This position would suit an individual who can demonstrate


  • One of the following qualifications:
    • Full Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or a General Psychologist through Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    • Mental Health Accredited Social Worker through Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)
    • Better Access Endorsed Occupational Therapist through Occupational Therapy Australian (OTA) Therapists.
  • Eligibility to provide services under Medicare
  • Commitment to achieving therapeutic goals using effective evidence-based treatment strategies to assist some of the most vulnerable members of the community
  • Previous experience in delivering psychological interventions
  • A flexible and solutions focussed approach to practice
  • Have an ABN or be able to obtain one and appropriate insurances
  • Relevant Criminal History checks

headspace Penrith is part of Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention services to young people aged 12–25. Our multidisciplinary team offers support across mental health, physical and sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, and vocational services.

About the Role


As a Senior Clinician, you'll be a key member of the multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-focused, evidence-based mental health support to young people. You will:


  • Provide comprehensive assessment, psychological and psychosocial interventions
  • Manage clinical care and complex presentations
  • Lead and guide other clinicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Support referral pathways and service flow
  • Ensure adherence to best practice and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to uphold the clinical model of care

What You’ll Need, Essential Criteria


Qualifications:


  • Approved tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
  • Registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in mental health
  • Proven experience in assessments, evidence-based treatment, and case management
  • Leadership capabilities – mentoring and clinical guidance
  • Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice and youth mental health
  • Ability to contribute to clinical review and planning processes
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
