Amazon is seeking a motivated Transportation Program Manager who will work across the organization to determine the technical needs, goals, and execution plans to develop our existing middle mile logistics network in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in an emerging business at Amazon!
This leader will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think strategically (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in an ever-growing, progressive and data-intensive operations environment. The ideal candidate will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting both daily operational activities and large, complex and cross-functional projects. This person will have a curious mind-set, solid analytical abilities, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.
This role can be based from either our Sydney or Melbourne corporate offices.

Key job responsibilities
- Help implement Australia Transportation's middle-mile tech tools functionalities and adaption across carriers.
- Work with internal tech teams to communicate business requirement and help define the business requirement.
- Work with multiple stakeholders across different external and internal teams to capture business requirement from middle mile transportation perspective.
- Manage and develop the programs related to middle mile assets across the network.
- Build and manage reports around middle network assets.
- Prepare and coordinate operations calls, business reviews, and customer service workshops as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate transportation planning and forecasts with carriers to ensure sufficient capacity.
Basic Qualifications
- Professional supply chain and logistics, transportation, or e-commerce experience.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.), SQL, and Tableau.
- Ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets of data.
- Solid inter-personal and relationship-building skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving end to end program delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
- Experience in analytics/project/program management and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in business operations and technology process improvement areas.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
- Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business analytics or other technical discipline.

Amazon is seeking an enthusiastic and customer obsessed Air Operations Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in an emerging business at Amazon.
This position will drive engagement and execution excellence across our air operations, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, co-ordinate and drive day-to-day execution, conduct problem solving activities and communicate status updates to management.
The ideal candidate will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to support daily execution activities. Additionally, they will have excellent communication skills and a passion for quickly resolving challenges by using effective problem solving and organizational skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure standard practices are implemented and executed;
- Conduct necessary deep dives to resolve issues;
- Ensure Amazon freight is lodged as per industry standards;
- Support booking of air freight and airway bill labelling as required;
- Oversee handling and screening of Amazon freight as required;
- Communicate status updates, delays, risks and other issues to management;
- Monitor air routes to identify potential issues that could impact performance;
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and conduct regular analysis of processes to prevent recurrence of issues;
- Develop reporting templates to capture key metrics including arrival time, dispatch, rejections and delays;
- Participate in daily calls as required;
- Lead by example fostering a culture of safety, customer obsession and ownership.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.),
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements,
- Ability to use good judgement in challenging situations,
- Demonstrated problem solving ability,
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (including email management, report writing and ability to prepare and analyze data),
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs,
- Willingness to travel to and work at various locations across Sydney as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
- Experience with SQL highly desirable,
- Fulfill government background checks to qualify for an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
- Able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or Customs security badges, if applicable.

Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager - Linehaul Execution to lead critical initiatives within our growing Transportation Services team.
As a Senior Program Manager you'll play an instrumental role in coordinating across multiple business units while ensuring operational excellence during peak periods and through organizational changes. This role requires an ambitious individual. This leader will represent a critical function within our wider Amazon Transportation Operations, as we work to continuously improve the service levels, capacities and costs of the Amazon Australia Linehaul.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Continual, operational/tactical management and communication with external customers (linehaul service providers) and internal customers (Carrier Managers, Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Amazon Logistics),
- Identify and develop appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability. Pulling data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and performing ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Create new and track existing metrics to detect & remove any defects,
- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered,
- Continuous Improvement Management within linehaul operations, focused on developing optimize procedures, processes, and best practices,
- Uses expertise and judgment to select stakeholders to determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions for Transportation network operations,
- Analyzing existing trucking capacity versus forecasted capacity requirements, particularly with the view of supporting seasonal peak times of year. Working to develop medium to long term capacity in planning cycles,
- Analyze and improve network design in partnership with Supply Chain teams to meet best in class cost and customer experience results,
- Design short/medium-term solutions to improve performance and quality of the operations,
- Ensure right business metrics are prepared for and participate in regular Operations calls, business reviews, MBRs, etc. Participate in the preparation of strategic documents of ATS area.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience,
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership,
- 3+ years of linehaul transportation or freight operations experience, including knowledge of transportation networks and logistics optimization,
- Proficiency in advanced Gen AI use, MS Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.), SQL, and Tableau,
- Ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets of data,
- Great communication skills in English, both verbal and written at varying levels of seniority within an organization-with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills,
- Good organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience managing linehaul carrier relationships and network optimization projects,
- Bachelors/Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, or related field.

Key job responsibilities
Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
Maintaining Health and Safety standards, while promoting a Health and Safety culture on-site.
Oversee and improve performance of all aspects of sortation operations including but not limited to:
Lead sort center activities across a shift and support coordination of staff plans and operating schedules.

Basic Qualifications

- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
