**Who will you be working with?** RMS Mors Smitt, a Wabtec Company is dedicated to the design, manufacture and distribution of high quality electrical engineering products. We design, manufacture and distribute electromechanical relays for the power distribution industry which generally comprise a circuit board controlling mechanical components. We export to 50+ countries around the world and sell locally. The operation fits into the light industrial sector and we mostly deal with small components, and have a mature supply base & mature product.
Reporting to the Production Manager; the main purpose is to run production efficiently with respect to meeting H&SE, QA/QC, delivery, and productivity targets. The Supervisor will be responsible to drive improvement projects and transformation to improve EHS, quality, cost, delivery, and people management.
**Where is the position located?** Keysborough, Victoria.
**What will your typical day look like?**
Lead by example, you are the Production Supervisor and set the standards your team will follow. Drive the performance of your Team Leaders and Team Members through the best practice principles of a Production Supervisor. These include but are not limited to:
+ Ensuring a safe work environment for anyone including staff in the workplace which is controlled using risk assessment.
+ Driving the quality of products and work completed in line with industry standards and customer expectations.
+ Continuous improvement of the teams, processes and performance following company policies/procedures.
+ Planning of work and work output in your area to meet the delivery requirements of the business.
+ Setting clear achievable weekly and daily goals and monitoring these goals visually with the team.
+ Open transparent communication with the team on performance and requirements of the business. (Including toolbox talks and Health and Safety briefs etc.)
+ Management and development of Team Leaders.
+ Problem solving, look to solve problems and conflicts within the team before escalating.
+ Ensure the production team have the correct processes, the correct trained people in line with competency matrix and the correct tools & equipment to perform their tasks.
+ Ensure Site Service activities and maintenance schedules are maintained to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Bachelor in Business Studies or Engineering or Management Certificate / Accreditation / Engineering related degree (preferred, not mandatory)
+ In depth knowledge of performance metrics & management
+ Worked as a Team Leader / Supervisor in a production environment.
+ Technical background of Electrical / Mechanical assembly operations is an added advantage.
+ Good computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills
+ Organisational, time-management and decision-making skills.
+ Safety & Quality related formal qualifications will be favourably looked at

As **Production Operator** , your mission is to directly execute all manufacturing activities associated with the production of high-quality IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) products at Grifols Australia, in full compliance with internal procedures and international quality standards, to help ensure the health and safety of patients worldwide.

- You will follow approved manufacturing and testing instructions to produce IVD products (e.g., Reagent Red Cells, Solutions, Gel Cards).

**About Our Role**

Opportunities exist with Simplot Global Food for suitably experienced Production Operators to join our team at our Ulverstone manufacturing facility.
Simplot Ulverstone has a proud history in the local community dating back to 1942, and our location on the banks of the Leven River is ideally situated close to the rich, fertile soils where our potatoes are grown. We process around 300,000 tonnes of potatoes from 165 Tasmanian growers each year, producing high quality potato products that are enjoyed by consumers all over Australia. Site capabilities / products include fries (coated & uncoated + variety of cuts), sweet potato fries, potato gems, and hash browns in addition to 8 x automated packing lines.
**What You Will Do**
Reporting to the Production Area Manager - duties may include the following;
+ Operating a variety of fixed plant processing equipment within a busy production environment incl. the monitoring of system processes & information / adjusting system settings to ensure line throughput & quality specifications are met
+ Cleaning and sanitation of production lines
+ Inspection of finished goods, to ensure quality is up to standard
+ Preparation of finished goods for shipment
+ Adhering to GMP and food safety policies and practices
+ Meeting production plans and targets
+ Contributing to continual improvement processes
+ Communicating with maintenance teams where appropriate (mechanical & electrical) in relation to both breakdowns and preventative maintenance
**About You**
+ Possess a 100% commitment to safety, health & wellbeing in the workplace
+ Ability to commit to working 12.2 hour shifts (day/night) across a 7 day Mon-Sun roster
+ Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing or process related role will be highly regarded
+ Possess a high competency in problem solving and the ability to work proactively
+ Have strong technical skills and be comfortable working with various software and systems (experience with SCADA systems would be advantageous - noting that Simplot utilise CITECT)
+ Possess a strong level of both written and verbal communication skills, in addition to time management skills
+ Hold a current LF forklift licence and have demonstrated operating experience (advantageous)
+ Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment, incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening

**About Our Role**
+ Casual production based opportunities with the home of Australia's favourite foods - Simplot Kelso
+ Shift based positions - work across day / afternoon / night shifts on a Mon-Sat roster (with occasional Sun OT as required)
+ Base hourly rate $42.13 (incl. 25% casual loading) + 15% afternoon shift allowance + 30% night shift allowance + OT (where applicable)
Opportunities exist for casual Production Operators at Simplot Kelso to support our food manufacturing operations. Simplot Kelso is our seafood and snacking processing plant, producing approx. 50 tonnes of product daily (75 SKUs) for the retail and foodservice markets including Birds Eye, I&J and Captain's Catch branded products. The site employs approx. 120 local employees, with approximately 95% of manufactured goods consisting of either Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) or Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seafood.
**What You Will Do**
Reporting to the Production Manager - in these active, hands on manufacturing roles - after successful completion of on-the-job training, duties will include (but are not limited to):
+ Inspection / preparation of incoming raw material
+ Manual handling of ingredients used in the production process
+ Safe operations of fixed plant processing & high speed packaging equipment
+ Cleaning and sanitation of production lines
+ Accurately complete daily shift logs / associated paperwork
+ Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities
+ Contribute to site safety & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) activities
+ LF forklift operations - for those candidates who currently hold a valid forklift licence with demonstrated experience
