Job Description
As **Production Operator** , your mission is to directly execute all manufacturing activities associated with the production of high-quality IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) products at Grifols Australia, in full compliance with internal procedures and international quality standards, to help ensure the health and safety of patients worldwide.
**What your responsibilities will be**
- You will follow approved manufacturing and testing instructions to produce IVD products (e.g., Reagent Red Cells, Solutions, Gel Cards).
- You will perform small- and large-scale formulation and filtration of solutions and gels.
- You will operate purpose-built equipment to dispense and pack finished goods.
- You will carry out in-process quality control tests using approved laboratory equipment.
- You will accurately record material movements in SAP R3.
- You will collect QC samples for environmental monitoring, bioburden, and serological testing.
- You will ensure cleanliness and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and areas according to SOPs.
- You will support validation and qualification of equipment and processes alongside the Production and Validation teams.
- You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and harmonization efforts with Grifols Diagnostics global standards.
- You will perform all tasks in accordance with cGMP, ISO 13485, OHS policies, and internal procedures.
- You will cooperate actively in OHS activities, report hazards, and ensure a safe work environment.
- You will support documentation, including completion of records and updates of SOPs when necessary.

We are getting busy in the lead up to peak season! As an Operator at the Huntingwood site, you will work within a team to achieve the manufacturing targets and KPIs. Your role will cover the entire site with a key focus on safe and efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment. The expectation is that, over time, you will be trained on equipment across the site and may be assigned to any of those areas as business needs dictate. The site may operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our team are on shifts across morning, afternoon and night.

As a key member of the Huntingwood team, you will:
+ Operate and maintain the production equipment whilst creating a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues;
+ Monitor the quality of our products;
+ Manage and maintain the production lines including equipment monitoring;
+ Ensure accurate completion of production records;
+ Ensure that best practice is being adhered to on each one of your shifts; and
+ Machine operation - from simple to complex machine centres undertaking sophisticated operation.

+ Experience operating packaging and/or processing equipment within a similar FMCG environment;
+ Experience using SAP;
+ Ability to quickly analyse problems in a structured way to come up with solutions to fix issues and make improvements;

This is a highly visible role where the successful candidates will ensure the smooth implementation of the production plan and full compliance with EHS standards through supervision, risk prevention, and continuous improvement of workplace safety. The incumbent will also manage manufacturing and CI engineers as well as production staff.
**Key Duties:**
+ Manage production at our Mascot factory and lead continuous improvement initiatives and achieve CI targets.
+ Take responsibility and hold colleagues accountable for zero incidence safety culture.
+ Support EHS function by managing safety improvement opportunities and effective action completion.
+ Ensure production orders are completed efficiently and timely by maintaining highest quality and safety standards.
+ Lead CI function. Initiate kaizen events to achieve cost productivity profit plan targets.
+ Implement Lean and 5S+ techniques on production floor.
+ Work with team members to support the manufacture of new product/process development. Support new products pilot run and jigs designing.
+ Maintain quality on production floor.
+ Liaise with quality team to solve quality issues and customer complaints by taking short/long term actions.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in managing production in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience and knowledge of Hazardous area products and certification will be advantageous but not mandatory.
+ Strong understanding Lean Six Sigma principles to drive CI culture.
+ Accountable, strong initiative and a growth mindset to drive efficiency and faster processes.
+ Tertiary qualifications in any engineering or business disciplines.
+ Excellent stakeholder and communication skills with the ability to lead and influence.

**Description**
You will coordinate and optimise Base Maintenance planning to ensure aircraft availability, safety and on-time delivery of maintenance events. You'll act as the interface between planning, production, engineering and supply to remove blockers and continuously improve planning processes.
+ Attend BM aircraft Induction & Delivery meetings, All Hands and daily toolbox talks; produce maintenance production reports.
+ Liaise closely with Base Maintenance Lead, Crew Leads, Technical Specialists and Supply to ensure spares and engineering responses are available to enable crews to complete tasks.
+ Manage rescheduling of deferred and emergent maintenance (using Interval Extension Requests, Engineering Orders, Deferred Defects and Special Maintenance Requirements) and optimise planning to avoid impacting other work.
+ Maintain and review maintenance work packs during events, analyse production data and participate in process improvement, quality and safety investigations.
**About You:**
You're an organised, analytical planner with hands-on Base Maintenance experience and a clear understanding of regulatory and contractual requirements. You translate technical constraints into executable plans, support continuous improvement, and deliver accurate reporting.
+ Advanced MS Office skills with the ability to create, analyse and present production data.
+ Experience operating within a Base Maintenance environment and conversant with DASR Part 145 organisational requirements.
+ Familiarity with MRO systems (e.g. iFlight MRO / IDMR) and Defence Objective is desirable.
+ Prior experience as a CAMM2 Data Manager (or similar) is highly regarded.

**Your Opportunity**
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, scheduling, and maintaining all maintenance activities for aircraft and associated equipment, including the development and management of the maintenance program. This includes creating and managing maintenance work orders, tracking maintenance progress, and ensuring the timely completion of all maintenance activities. The Production Planner will work closely with other departments within the organisation to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner, while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ Manage maintenance work orders for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
+ Ensure that all maintenance activities are scheduled and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Work closely with the Production Engineer (PE) and the Project Management Office (PMO) and other departments within the organization to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with all applicable regulations.
+ Track maintenance progress and provide regular updates to the PE & PMO and other departments within the organization.
+ Provide input to the PMO regarding resource requirements, including staffing and equipment needs.
+ Coordinate with other departments within the organisation to ensure that maintenance activities are completed in accordance with the organization's schedule.
+ Conduct regular reviews of the maintenance program activities allocated.
+ Undertake pre-release check credit and creating work authorisation prior to work release.

+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities.

**Requirements to Be Successful**
+ At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance production planning role within a CASA Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Facility or extensive knowledge of Production Planning & maintenance operations.
+ Comprehensive understanding of CASA Part 145 regulations.
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
+ Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Common courtesy and customer orientation.
