The Role
We are looking for casual Seasonal Production Operators at our Tatura factory. Work will commence in January 2026 and conclude in mid-2026. Shifts are 8.5 hours, Monday to Friday (commencing at 6:30am am for day shift, or 3pm for afternoon shift). Work with a great crew on above award rates.
Successful candidates will receive on the job training and will be required to complete a range of manufacturing processes associated with food production to meet daily/weekly production targets.
Key Responsibilities of the Seasonal Production Operator role will include:
+ Perform basic mechanical operations such as setup, operation, adjustment, and shutdown of machines, and handle materials (raw and pack) to supply to the line.
+ Performing Quality Assurance checks.
+ Complete computer skills/data entry into databases.
+ Adhere to our stringent safety, food safety, quality & hygiene standards.

+ Basic problem solving, literacy and computer skills.

+ Physical fitness including ability to stand and walk for extended periods and must be able to lift and carry objects, a minimum of 15kg repeatedly. Push and pull with some force occasionally at waist height.

A significant investment / expansision has recently been completed at the site, transforming Simplot Bathurst into a frozen vegetable centre of excellence, enabling increased production capacity, and ultimately helping to boost local and export volumes.
Reporting to the Production Manager and commencing from early November 2025 (with likely end of season May 2026), these casual roles will work a variety of 8 hour shifts on a day / afternoon / night Monday to Saturday roster supporting our upcoming corn season production activities. Commencing base rate of pay $40.24 p/h (incl. of casual loading) + 15% afternoon shift allowance + 30% night shift allowance + weekend OT (where applicable).
Day shift 0700 - 1500hrs
