In your role as Analyst or Associate your primary responsibility will be to work with the wider Project Finance origination team to support lending, structuring, and advisory services to deliver optimal risk, revenue, and profit outcomes from each transaction.
**What you'll be doing:**
Project Finance
+ To assist MDs, Directors and VPs in marketing, securing and closing project financing transactions
+ To assist in ensuring all transactions comply with MUFG's credit and other policies
+ To assist in all Project Finance credit matters including credit paper construction, modelling, negotiation of terms and condition, finalisation of documentation, review and/or arrangement of due diligence, satisfying CPs etc
+ To assist in negotiation and documentation of terms and conditions of credit, security and all other documents related to the credit and services provided
+ To contribute to the maintenance of positive relationships with project sponsors/borrowers/advisors/legal counsels/funds/bank customers and to materially contribute to MUFG profit
+ To positively liaise with MUFG's local and international networks including global project finance teams, credit divisions, and other key product partners and coverage stakeholders.
+ To complete general administration matters within Project Finance including streamlining internal processes and driving efficiencies
+ To manage deal information on various internal systems and associated internal deal processes
+ To prepare or contribute to research papers including attending industry seminars and presentations
Submission of credit proposals and analysis
+ To assist with credit paper preparation including associated forms and internal processes.
+ To prepare other required approvals including pricing and management screening
+ To prepare/review/analyse financial models and run sensitivities
+ To assist with the review and analysis of due diligence and documentation
**What we are looking for:**
+ Analyst 1+ year's experience in project or structured finance at a major domestic or international
+ Associate 3+ year's experience in project or structured finance at a major domestic or international
+ Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential
+ Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products, and will be strong in financial modelling
+ Possess an understanding of financial and economic markets
+ Be able to engage in independent research and analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
+ The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
+ Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills

**About the role:**
The purpose of the Analyst role is to provide bank-wide support and consultancy to implement business transformation and change initiatives within Operations. Responsible for project management and coordination of cross functional teams to drive the successful delivery of projects and initiatives, including reporting, validation and testing process improvements to promote operational efficiency.
**What you'll be doing:**
Provide support and consultancy service to the business in the following areas:
**Project Initiatives:**
+ Assist managers to deliver Operations and Bank-wide projects and initiatives.
+ Consider and recommend ways in which operational processes and procedures may be improved for better overall time management.
+ Actively lead and contribute to any assigned projects and monitor project performance using appropriate KPIs to ensure that tasks have been completed within required timeframes.
+ Leverage data analytics to gather scope, assess performance, measure impact of change initiatives and provide insights for continuous improvement.
+ Work closely with project stakeholders to understand functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
**Validation and Testing**
+ Define, manage and conduct end-to end validation and testing activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements, regulatory standards and system integration needs across the Bank's core banking and payment platforms. Testing activities include unilateral, bilateral and multilateral testing both internally and externally as required by the project (e.g. domestic & cross-border payments).
+ Oversee and support UAT planning, execution and sign-off, coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize risk and ensure high quality outcomes.
+ Identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
**Process Improvement**
+ Assist managers to gather branch-wide stakeholder user requirements, analyse and provide solution/s.
+ Coordinate project training and/or workshops.
**Policies, Procedures and Reporting**
+ Review and update required unit procedures annually
+ Preparation of monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting
**Customer**
+ Proactively and continuously look for ways to improve processes and deliver the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
+ Worked with other departments, operations units and branches on feasibility analysis and streamlining of processes.
+ Ensure Customer enquiries are followed up promptly with satisfactory outcomes
**What we are looking for:**
The successful candidate will have a project management background, together with banking operations experience and a strong technical background of payments, loans and trade. This will include a strong understanding of payments workflows and testing, with payments end-to-end testing experience highly advantageous.
Strong process re-engineering skills are required, as well as good data analytic skills (Excel VLookup, Excel Pivot, SQL, VBA macro, etc.). Excellent communication skills are essential to this role, in order to provide outstanding project and stakeholder management.
+ MS Office proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is needed, and Visio experience is an advantage.
+ Undergraduate degree in a banking / finance or IT-related field preferred
+ Project Management certification preferred

**Role Title:** Project Support Lvl 3
**Role Description:** This position will provide support to the SCIFiRE/AIR6007 Project Support Level 3 equivalent and work under limited direction to achieve moderately complex tasks within an integrated workforce.
**Outcomes:**
- Within the ACP, support was provided to the multi-disciplined project teams and coordinated project activities including support to strategic planning for managing resources and sub-program priorities. This includes management of schedules, risk, budgets, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to sub-program progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Support provided for the timely and effective capability decisions; the ACP requires the development of reliable documentation to capture key information in the CLC.
**Duties Include:**
- To make timely and effective capability decisions, the Air Combat Program (ACP) requires development of high-quality documentation to capture key information in the Capability Life Cycle (CLC). Specifically, the ability to support drafting high-quality documents for Government submissions is essential.
- Within the ACP, provide sub-program support to the multi-disciplined project teams and coordinate project activities, including coordination, management and delivery of project tasks and milestones.
- Coordination for the ACP sub-program management of schedules, risk, budgets, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to sub-program progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Advise and clearly articulate goals to achieve sub-program and project objectives.
- Work collaboratively, build and sustain effective relationships. Actively manage working relationships to understand stakeholder requirements and expectations to minimise risk to scope, schedule and budget.
- Support the project teams with the integration and engagement of the program and project governance framework, ensuring consistency and transparency in reporting tools and optimum use of functionality.
- Identify, interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, strategies, business and team requirements.
- Engage and negotiate with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes. Specifically, the ability to support development of strategic communications and messaging is highly desirable.
- Provide Air domain advice for briefs and submissions, including through to CAF and USAF.

**Desirable Requirements:**
- Negative Vetting Level 2 Security Clearance (PV Desirable)
- The performance of the work requires access to US export-controlled technology and services. Dual nationals or deemed dual nationals according to the US code of federal regulations title 22, involved in the performance of the SoW must declare their current or former citizenship to the MSP Lead.
- Appropriately qualified and experienced in project management.
- Ability to access DPE/DSE as required.
**Salary Range Depending on Experience:** $160K - $180K (inc super)

The Opportunity:
As a Project Support Officer at KBR, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of complex high profile Defence projects through high-level administrative and operational assistance. You will work alongside multidisciplinary project teams and key stakeholders, ensuring the seamless execution of project activities in accordance with Defence standards, frameworks and tight timelines .
Your day-to-day responsibilities will span scheduling, coordination, stakeholder liaison, and documentation support-requiring a proactive, detail-focused approach. Your minute-taking will need to be precise, professional and efficient , as you'll be responsible for capturing key actions and decisions across high-level project and stakeholder meetings and discussions . Additionally, proficiency with Objective is essential, as you will be required to manage and maintain documentation and records in compliance with Defence document control protocols.
Defence experience is a must, and your understanding of Defence environments, procedures, and stakeholder expectations will ensure your success in this role. You'll be instrumental in supporting compliance, tracking project progress, and ensuring smooth communication flows across teams and partners.
Responsibilities:
+ Support and execute project operations and activities
+ Support the planning, budgeting, organisation and control of projects
+ Meet project scope, schedule and budget plans
+ Assist in workforce planning in support of current projects and/or assigned proposal capture activities
+ Customer and stakeholder engagement
+ Build and maintain relationships at all levels
+ Act with a degree of autonomy and personal accountability for team outcomes
+ Attend relevant customer meetings as required
+ Foster a positive work environment that is professional, dynamic and innovative
+ Provide consultancy support as required
+ Report on project status
+ Ensure a safe working environment
Essentials:
+ Project support or professional consulting experience
+ Strong organisational and coordination skills
+ NV1 Security clearance or higher
+ Role is Canberra Based.
