Civil Engineer | Project Delivery - ( CB )
**Description**
We have a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer with Project Delivery experience to join our Community Development team in Maroochydore. In this permanent full time role, you will manage the administration of civil infrastructure construction contracts (in the role of client's representative) on a large subdivision project. You will be involved in resolving design constraints prior to works commencing, coordinating projects, administration of construction contracts, interfacing with various disciplines and delivering projects within a multi-disciplinary team.
Our approach to community development consulting covers master planned communities, mixed-use developments, parks, recreation facilities, and streetscapes. We activate urban downtowns, suburban centers, small towns, and rural areas-and the multimodal corridors that connect us to the places we work, live, and thrive.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Construction contract administration, including ensuring contracted works are delivered for our key clients in accordance with the relevant contract requirements.
+ Liaising with internal design teams to ensure efficient resolution of any design related issues impacting construction delivery.
+ Coordinating with the Principal Construction Contractor, and any sub-contractors active on the project site, to ensure works are being delivered in accordance with the relevant contract.
+ Preparing technical reports and specifications
+ Evaluating and assessing contractor claims and variations.
+ Providing technical expertise to clients and support projects
+ Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
+ Coordinating between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
+ Undertaking and managing site inspections, including coordination with relevant authorities to ensure all stakeholder quality and handover requirements are met during delivery of the works.
+ Contributing to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction
+ Maintaining existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients
+ Assisting in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management
**What you will bring to the team**
+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience in delivery of works in either subdivisions, roads, stormwater or sewer
+ Demonstrated experience in overseeing the contract administration for the delivery of civil engineering projects
+ Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design standards and construction
+ Project management skills
+ Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.

The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Land Systems Division, working within the Heavy Armoured Systems Program Office (HASPO) to support the Armoured Fighter Vehicle (AFV) Branch. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to some of Australia's most strategically important land programs, including the Abrams Main Battle Tank (LAND 907 Phase 2) and Armoured Recovery Vehicle (LAND 8160 Phase 1) projects.
In this role, you will lead and deliver complex acquisition and sustainment activities across heavy armoured vehicle fleets, working closely with Defence, international stakeholders, and industry partners to ensure capability outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and to required standards.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead project planning, execution, and reporting for AFV acquisition and sustainment activities within CASG frameworks.
+ Develop and manage project schedules, risk registers, and performance baselines to achieve agreed milestones.
+ Provide project management and commercial expertise in the development of acquisition strategies, tender evaluations, contract negotiations, and performance management of industry partners.
+ Coordinate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes, including stakeholder engagement with the US Department of Defense, OEMs, and compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations.
+ Integrate project management activities with engineering, ILS, and sustainment functions to deliver coherent capability outcomes.
+ Prepare and present reports, briefs, and documentation to senior Defence stakeholders and industry partners.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support KBR proposals when required.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Essential: Demonstrated Defence project management experience within CASG or a related Defence environment.
+ Essential: Strong commercial acumen and experience applying ASDEFCON contracting frameworks, drafting contractual documentation, and leading tender evaluation processes.
+ Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Engineering, or Project Management (or equivalent experience).
+ Knowledge of the Defence Capability Life Cycle and acquisition governance requirements.
+ Experience working on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs highly desirable.
+ Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across government, industry primes, and subcontractors.
+ Current or ability to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
+ Project Management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP) highly regarded.
