**Location/Division Specific Information**
This role will be based onsite at our Banyo site in Brisbane and is a full-time, permanent role. It does offer hybrid working options.
**About the Role:**
This role includes purchasing of materials for internal customers (warehouse, operations, quality control), and support departments if needed. Basic understanding on material planning is required, role shall work with internal customers to understand their material requirements and close possible planning gaps in SAP. In addition to above, this role requires to review and update material master data, and coordinate with warehouse and finance teams for timely processing of supplier invoices.
**What You'll do:**
**Key Responsibilities**
Material Ordering:
- Revision and release of SAP-generated purchase requests based on purchasing horizon, material expiry and order volume
- Order acknowledgement and follow-up. Effective supplier communication to bring materials on time
- Update of delivery dates in SAP based on supplier feedback and supplier back orders
Material and Supplier Master Data:
- Handling of supplier registration process
- Update and maintain lead time and price lists from suppliers in SAP
- Handing of material data review and update for purchasing, logistics and planning activities in SAP
Internal Customer Communications:
+ Generate material reports from SAP to provide ordering status and updates to internal stakeholders during weekly meetings
+ Collaborate with Warehouse and Quality Control teams to track completion of material inbound and quality release within expected window
Accounts Payable (AP) Team Support:
+ Support financial arrangements related to payments
+ Review of invoicing issues in Catalyst, making sure that 3 way-match (order, goods receipt and invoice) is met prior invoice due date
Process Improvements:
+ Suggest changes and improvements to purchasing activities, collaborate with the rest of the team to find a better way.
+ Support any improvement initiatives within planning and purchasing
+ Support work instructions and standard procedures drafting
Other Responsibilities:
+ Follow all company standard procedures and cGMP standards.
+ Participate in site initiatives (e.g., green teams, social club, etc)
+ Compliance to site EH&S rules and requirements.
**Keys to Success:**
**Education:**
- An Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
**Skills & Experience:**
+ 1+ years of relevant industry work experience within a similar procurement/supply chain role
+ Strong levels of proactivity, resilience, able to prioritise work under pressure and drive for results.
+ Possess excellent analysis skills and numerical ability, able to manipulate and interpret large quantities of data.
+ Medium level proficiency in report creation and data analysis, strong knowledge in Excel is required
+ Proficient in English, both in oral and written communication

**Position Summary**
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for MRO/Avionics purchasing activities to meet external Customer requirements.
**Main Responsibilities**
+ Conduct purchasing activities in compliance with company policy and procedures including but not limited to Finance and Quality and Systems.
+ Responsible for the end to end purchasing function, including processing, expediting of purchase orders, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of items.

+ A register of quarantine stock items to ensure that stock is current and in-process.
+ Liaise with:
+ Internal Sales and Customer Services communicating materials pricing, lead-times and anticipated arrival details.
+ Material delays and difficulties are communicated to relevant supervisors or managers for corrective actions.
+ Suppliers directly concerning special freighting and delivery requirements.
+ Freight forwarders and customs agents concerning inbound deliveries, customs clearance and duty.
+ New vendors and alternative suppliers to source items, according to customer's requirements, securing competitive pricing whilst maintaining compliant policy and procedure.
+ Reconcile goods receipt and invoicing discrepancies.
+ Credit Card Reconciliation Administration and reporting.
+ Negotiate with new or existing suppliers to source aircraft parts and equipment which best meets the specific requirements of the customer.
+ Approve import freight, duty and customs invoices
+ Arrange for New Parts to be returned to vendors for credit or replacement where applicable when returned from customers
+ Ensure that reconciliation goods receipt and invoice discrepancies are performed quickly and accurately
+ Provide back-up support for the Warranty and Exchange Officer as required
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Working knowledge of Aircraft Materials and materials.
+ Experience with logistics in an aircraft maintenance or similar facility
+ Networking skills at internal company level
+ Knowledge of packaging and shipping requirements for dangerous goods.
+ Computer Literate in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft Outlook and Excel
+ Effective communication including excellent written and verbal skills.

**Work Environment**
The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.

**Purchasing Officer at Hyatt Centric Melbourne**
As the Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for providing excellent and a consistent level of service to external and internal customers when receiving delivered goods. You will support the Purchasing Assistant Manager in the day-to-day operations, receive and approve goods and assist where necessary with invoice queries.

+ Check the quantity, quality, type and price of all receiving goods as they arrive in the hotel's loading bay.
