We are seeking a talented and driven API & UI Developer to join our dynamic team. **In this role you will be responsible for:**
**API Development**
+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure APIs (RESTful, GraphQL).

+ Optimize API performance and troubleshoot integration issues.
+ Ensure data integrity and maintain comprehensive API documentation.

**UI Development**
+ Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces.
+ Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional code.
+ Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
+ Optimize UI performance for speed and scalability.
+ Conduct thorough testing to ensure design accuracy and functionality.

**To be successful in this role, your skills and experience should include:**
+ Proficiency in programming languages for API development (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
+ Strong knowledge of API architectural styles (REST, GraphQL) and tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger UI).
+ Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
+ Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
+ Familiarity with databases and data formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
+ Knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices.

The Role
As a Web Design & Development Intern , you will:
Work with our product and marketing team to review our existing Webflow websites.
Analyse site structure, usability, and design consistency.
Suggest and implement improvements to site organisation, navigation, and content layouts.
Support in updating design elements, optimising performance, and ensuring responsiveness.
Document recommendations and changes for future maintenance.

About You

As a self-starter, you will be able to take a complex problem and use your own engineering and debugging skills to dissect and analyse it, and distill into a clear solution. You will be able to proactively identify problems faced by our customers, and figure out creative technological solutions to these.
As traders rely on our platform to trade and consume real-time data about hundreds of financial products simultaneously, performance of our UI is critical. Therefore, interest and experience in JavaScript and HTML5 application performance and optimisation is important. Ideally, you will be keenly in touch with the JavaScript community and keeping an eye on the latest developments in ECMAScript, JS engines like V8, web browsers, Angular, and TypeScript. Experience in applying automated testing e.g. unit testing, its benefits, and associated practices like TDD, on large-scale codebases is essential as it is key to our quality-first approach and culture of the team.
We are also doing some work with Node.js microservices - using Nest.js, with Mongo, Redis, and Kubernetes - and tightly-integrating them with our UI in the monorepo. Though most Tradeweb server-side development is currently in C++, our goal is to have consistent practices and tooling across both the UI and server-side.
