Job Background/Context:
Institutional Credit Management (ICM) is a critical component of Citi's First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and works with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. Key responsibilities of the group include credit analysis, documentation, risk identification, exposure monitoring and stress testing. ICM coordinates with credit management groups across ICG businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.
Counterparty Exposure (CPE) is a global team within ICM responsible for measuring, monitoring and controlling counterparty risk. To fulfill this role, a risk professional is required who has experience in market risk management and credit risk management areas, or has training in finance, mathematics or other quantitative fields.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Approve credit reviews as a first line of defense approver (Credit Officer CO/Senior Credit Officer SCO designation) including assessment of portfolio risk, liquidity of client positions, credit limits and risk appetite ratios for APAC Real Money Funds.
+ Maintain and manage credit exposures to clients across derivatives, financing and direct lending products.
+ Advise and approve large transactions or deals that require individual risk assessment
+ Work with Risk colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis
+ Monitor client portfolios to ensure that risks are controlled - primarily credit risk arising from market sensitive exposure and liquidity risk
+ Work with Sales trading and clients to analyze client portfolios, propose counterparty risk limits and work with Credit risk management on getting limits approved
+ Perform daily and weekly risk analysis and reporting on existing client portfolios as well as customized risk analysis on new client portfolios
+ Communicate key findings to senior management.
+ Work with business managers and In-Business Risk teams on margin model development, new product approvals and real-time monitoring and controls
+ Analyzing control environment including periodic review of the control environment, vetting of new systems, processes, policies and procedures associated and related to market and/or credit risk and ensuring they are in sync with market practices.
+ Utilize risk management tools for the measurement, monitoring and management of exposure.
+ Represent the department to various independent risk teams, auditors and regulatory agencies on issues related to counterparty risk and controls.

Basic Qualifications

Working with the Operational and Engineering teams, the purpose of the Systems Engineer position is to serve as the technical leader. You will be responsible for translating customer and business needs into a clear set of project and product requirements. Through coordination and management, you will ensure the final engineered solution is fully compliant, efficient, and robustly designed to meet the highest standards of performance and safety.

**What will your typical day look like?**
**Technical Leadership & Delivery**
+ Lead the creation of technical design solutions that align with customer needs and project specifications.
+ Approve technical concepts and specifications for use in the project, including calculations, reliability/safety analyses, and system test reports.
+ Interpret and implement customer specifications to ensure the successful technical delivery of projects.
+ Ensure all activities adhere to transit engineering procedures, design rules, and industry best practices.
**Customer & Stakeholder Management**
+ Act as the technical interface for the customer, from the initial tender phase through to serial deliveries.
+ Cooperate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Production, Quality) on new product development, cost reduction initiatives, and risk analysis.
**Project & Team Collaboration**
+ Serve as the lead Systems Engineer for assigned engineering tenders and projects.
+ Lead and coordinate engineering activities, including project design reviews and gate reviews.
+ As a member of the project core team, provide the Project Manager with regular updates on progress, technical risks, and opportunities.
+ Proactively manage project elements to ensure milestones are achieved within the committed budget and timeline.
**What do we want to know about you?**
**Qualifications**
+ Education: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent).
+ Mandatory Professional Registration:
+ Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status and registration on the National Engineering Register (NER) is required.
+ Active registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria (RPEV) is mandatory.
+ Desirable Registration:
+ Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is highly desirable.
**Experience**
+ End-to-End Project Ownership: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a systems or project engineering role where you have taken ownership of the technical solution for significant projects.
+ Requirements Management: Demonstrable experience managing competing technical requirements in a complex project environment, preferably using a formal requirements management tool.
+ Customer-Facing Technical Role: Proven experience in direct technical negotiation and relationship management with external customers, particularly during tender, design review, and delivery phases.
+ Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience coordinating and influencing multi-disciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Production) to achieve a unified project goal. Experience in the Australian rail industry is highly advantageous but not essential for a candidate with strong experience in a comparable safety-critical industry.

**Job Description**

The Systems Engineer position is to work on the development and the integration of optronics and navigation systems for defence programs. The Systems Engineer participates in the specification, development, integration and verification of our defence activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Systems Engineering: ensures that all systems engineering activities align with project specifications and customer expectations. Develop and review system specifications, ensuring clarity, uniqueness, specificity, measurability, and verifiability. Prepare detailed interface documentation and technical papers related to the project.
- Engineering Oversight: Oversee the engineering activities for the project allocated by the Project Manager , with a particular focus on systems engineering requirements, integration, and validation.
- EMS Compliance: Ensure the Engineering Management Systems procedures are rigorously followed to deliver engineering services that meet the highest standards and quality.
- Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Support systems engineering input for the customer, fostering effective communication and addressing inquiries specific to systems integration and technical alignment.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure systems engineering objectives are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Configuration Management: Maintain clear configuration management for the Functional Baselines and Product Baseline throughout the project life cycle. Organise and chair the Change Control Board (CCB), manage Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), deviations, and track product issues.
- Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V): Plan, execute, and manage verification activities, including Acceptance Test Plans (ATP), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATProcs), and Acceptance Test Reports (ATR).

- Strong foundation in systems engineering principles, with experience in requirements management, validation, and integration.
- Familiarity with engineering management systems and procedural compliance, specifically in systems engineering contexts.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage technical requirements and ensure their integration across multiple project areas.
- Australian Citizenship is desirable
