Are you looking for an opportunity to work with an industry-leading company? IQVIA is currently recruiting for a Clinical Research Coordinator to support a site in Concord.
This role with an immediate start is for **8** **hours** per week and is expected to last around one year. Working day will be Friday.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a clinical research study and maintaining a safe study environment in accordance with health and safety policies, under the direction and delegation of the Principal Investigator.
As a pivotal member of the site team, you will be involved with a variety of administrative tasks to support the clinical trial team and ensure the smooth running of the clinical trial, including:
+ Maintaining up-to-date study protocols, case report forms (CRFs), Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, and other study documents
+ Support with screening and enrolment of patients and collection of related documents (informed consent, privacy consent, etc.);
+ Planning and coordinating logistical activity for study procedures according to the study protocol
+ Data entry, data quality checking, and query resolution to ensure adherence to study protocol and quality control for content accuracy and completeness
+ Management and shipment of biological samples
+ Performing ECG, taking vital signs, phlebotomy
+ Coordinating with study monitor on study issues and effectively responding to monitor-initiated questions
+ Administrative research task
We are looking for candidates with:
+ BS/BA in life sciences or educational equivalent and/or relevant work experience in a clinical environment or medical setting, e.g. clinical research coordinator, Research Assistant, nurse, medical assistant, other medical profession
+ Good knowledge of clinical trials, combined with in-depth knowledge of departmental, protocol and study-specific operating procedures, consent forms, and study schedules
+ **Must have at least 2 years experience working as a Clinical Research Assistant or Clinical Research Coordinator at a clinical trial site**
+ Basic knowledge of medical terminology
+ Strong IT competence, skilled in using MS Windows and Office applications such as Access, Outlook, Excel, and Word
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients

The Opportunity

Reporting to Professor Barca the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and working in collaboration with QDX Technologies, the focus of this role will be to advance cutting-edge research at the interface of quantum chemistry, artificial intelligence (AI), and drug discovery. The Research Fellow will be part of a world-class team recognised with prestigious honours including the Gordon Bell Prize and the WATOC Dirac Medal.

As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the design and implementation of AI models that integrate quantum mechanical theory with deep learning, enabling rapid and accurate molecular discovery. You will work closely with academic researchers and industry partners to translate research outputs into real-world therapeutic design pipelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and deploying machine learning models (e.g. graph neural networks, neural force fields, diffusion models) for molecular property prediction and molecular generation.

  • Integrating quantum chemistry data (e.g. DFT, MP2) and experimental data into AI-driven pipelines for structure–property learning and reactivity prediction.

  • Applying AI models to real-world problems in virtual screening, ligand optimization, and covalent drug design.

  • Collaborating with researchers and engineers at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and QDX Technologies to implement scalable AI–quantum hybrid platforms for drug discovery.

  • Publishing peer-reviewed research and contributing to industrial software tools.



About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A PhD in machine learning, computer science, computational chemistry, computational biology, or a closely related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in the design of machine learning architectures such as GNNs, VAEs, or diffusion models applied to molecular data.

  • Strong knowledge of quantum, medicinal chemistry principles and chemical representations; familiarity with physics-informed ML and drug discovery is necessary.

  • Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.

  • Experience with C++ and GPU programming.

  • A strong growth mindset, attention to scientific rigor, and the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment.

Applications are now open for recent graduates with a degree in Nursing Biomedical or Health Science to join the Clinical Research Team based in Perth, Western Australia. As part of this 12 months contract program, you will develop a breadth of experience across the healthcare continuum, working alongside a group of professionals where you will gain best in class training and mentorship at an individual and team level.
At Medtronic, no two days will be the same! As Graduate - Clinical Research Specialist, you will be able to work with many different teams, learn about breakthrough therapies, gain insight into various parts of the product life cycle and see the impact they have on patients. You will be involved in supporting the administrative and clinical trial execution needs of the studies that you work on and make an impact on the future medical needs of our patients.
This role will enable you to navigate through challenging scenarios, develop your leadership and resilience skills, as well as develop an eye for detail that will allow you to excel in this and future roles.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Provide support for the execution of Medtronic clinical trials program
+ Responsible for performing and supporting research for teams operating within the clinical research team
+ Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination, and implementation of non-technical projects as assigned.
